Hanoi, April 23, 2026 – Within the framework of the Vietnam–Korea Business Forum, FPT Corporation participated in and carried out multiple cooperation activities in technology and artificial intelligence (AI). The Group continues to reinforce its position as a strategic technology and AI partner for Korean enterprises. The event took place on the occasion of the State visit to Vietnam by President Lee Jae Myung and senior Korean leaders, aimed at strengthening high-level bilateral engagements between the two countries.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, along with FPT’s leadership delegation, attended high-level sessions and directly engaged with policymakers and leading Korean conglomerates to promote cooperation opportunities in AI, digital infrastructure, and semiconductors.

At the Vietnam–Korea Business Forum, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, shared strategic perspectives on bilateral collaboration:
“Having overcome extremely difficult periods, South Korea has become an advanced industrial nation. Vietnam once had a similar starting point, with great aspirations. That legitimate aspiration will certainly be realized through cooperation between our two countries,” he stated.

According to him, the world is currently facing three major challenges: high levels of uncertainty; the rapid rise of AI reshaping everything from factories and enterprises to society; and intensifying global competition as new products are developed faster and at lower costs.

To address these challenges, he proposed to the President of South Korea and the Prime Minister of Vietnam the establishment of a strategic cooperation mechanism, focusing on solving large-scale issues where both sides can act and plan together to realize shared development ambitions.

Within the framework of the event, FPT signed several key agreements in technology and semiconductors with leading Korean partners:

FPT and the Korea Fabless Industry Association (KFIA) signed a cooperation agreement to build a comprehensive partnership model in the semiconductor sector. KFIA is the largest representative body for chip design companies in South Korea, with nearly 150 members, playing a central role in connecting fabless companies with the broader semiconductor ecosystem and contributing to industry policymaking. The cooperation focuses on next-generation semiconductor R&D, building a Vietnam–Korea semiconductor ecosystem and supply chain, promoting high-quality technical talent exchange, and leveraging both parties’ business networks to expand global opportunities. This agreement marks a significant step in expanding FPT’s presence in the Korean market.

FPT and Shinhan Bank, a leading bank under Shinhan Financial Group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand collaboration in digital finance, startups, and strategic technologies, with AI as a core foundation. The partnership aims to unlock new growth opportunities within the innovation ecosystems of both Vietnam and South Korea. The two parties will jointly explore innovation opportunities, apply AI and big data to accelerate solution development, strengthen ecosystem connectivity, and create new digital value. They also plan to enhance cooperation and knowledge transfer in strategic areas such as semiconductors, quantum technology, the low-altitude economy, future mobility, and next-generation technologies, while supporting startups from both countries in accessing each other’s markets.

In addition, FPT signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C) to strengthen cooperation in developing AI-ready data center infrastructure and smart city projects in Vietnam, contributing to national goals on digital infrastructure and sustainable urban development. The two parties will promote large-scale data center projects and expand collaboration in smart city development, including digital infrastructure, intelligent transportation, energy management, public safety, and urban services.

These partnerships take place amid the strong development of Vietnam–South Korea relations, with science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation identified as key growth drivers.

FPT has recently marked a decade of operations in the South Korean market, growing from zero to USD 92 million in revenue, with a target of USD 200 million by 2026. This reflects the Group’s growing presence and execution capabilities in the market. Through these activities and agreements, FPT continues to strengthen its role as a partner capable of delivering large-scale AI and digital transformation programs, contributing to a new phase of Vietnam–Korea technology cooperation.
