Hanoi, October 9, 2026 – At the ceremony marking National Digital Transformation Day 2026, Mr. Le Hong Viet, CEO of FPT Smart Cloud, FPT Corporation, presented FPT’s strategy for developing sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, harnessing data, and applying technology to serve citizens, businesses, and government operations.
The ceremony marking National Digital Transformation Day 2026 was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, bringing together leaders of the Party, State, Government, and National Assembly, along with representatives from ministries, government agencies, local authorities, and technology companies. This year’s theme was “National Digital Transformation: From Architecture, Platforms, and Data to Tangible Outcomes and More Effective National Governance.”

Photo: Luu Quy.During a session highlighting successful digital transformation initiatives and future strategic directions, Mr. Le Hong Viet, representing FPT Corporation, delivered a presentation titled “Vietnamese Technology Capabilities for the Future of a Digital Nation.”
The session also featured representatives from the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi, Dai Phuoc Commune in Dong Nai Province, TTC Group, and CMC Corporation, who shared implementation models, achievements, and development strategies.
According to Mr. Le Hong Viet, sovereign technology infrastructure is becoming essential for countries seeking to strengthen their digital capabilities. AI models and the digital workers powered by these models will become fundamental drivers of competitiveness, creating opportunities for breakthrough improvements in labor productivity.
“In the digital era, competitive advantage will depend on how AI amplifies human capabilities. While countries once competed based on natural resources, in the future, they will compete through data and the ability to harness that data,” Mr. Le Hong Viet said.
Three Foundational Platforms for Building a Digital Nation
The FPT representative outlined three foundational platforms needed to support the development of a digital nation.
First is sovereign AI infrastructure, enabling control over data, computing power, and technology platforms.
Second is a data infrastructure and utilization platform, facilitating information connectivity and transforming data into actionable knowledge.
Third is the application of data and technology to serve citizens and businesses, particularly by supporting government decision-making.
FPT has invested in developing cloud computing infrastructure through FPT Cloud. In recent years, FPT has continued investing in FPT AI Factory to provide AI infrastructure and services. According to Mr. Viet, these investments aim to strengthen technological self-reliance and enable greater flexibility in modifying and upgrading technology components.
Regarding data, Mr. Le Hong Viet said FPT is working with more than eight ministries and government agencies and over ten localities to develop data strategies, connect information across their systems, and enable effective data utilization.
At the application platform level, FPT has developed solutions for government agencies and enterprises, including the FPT.AI artificial intelligence platform and Kyta Platform.
Kyta Platform supports government agencies and organizations in managing work, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and improving operational oversight. These platforms are designed to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery to citizens and businesses.

During his presentation, the FPT representative highlighted three practical applications of technology in healthcare, work management, and access to AI computing capabilities.
In healthcare, Mr. Le Hong Viet discussed how FPT Long Chau has integrated with the VNeID system and applied digital platforms to help citizens manage healthcare needs for themselves and their families.
According to Mr. Viet, Kyta Platform is currently being deployed at the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam.
The AI-powered system supports the development and management of KPIs for civil servants, monitors work completion, and provides recommendations for task execution. The platform also supports automated task allocation and work recommendations.
Regarding AI infrastructure, FPT AI Factory currently provides approximately 43 cloud-based AI services to around 18,000 engineers, scientists, and enterprise users in Vietnam and worldwide.
The platform gives users access to computing resources needed to develop AI platforms of their own.
FPT is also developing approximately 200 digital technology solutions and remains committed to working alongside the Government, ministries, government agencies, provinces, cities, and enterprises to advance digital technology development.
Over the years, FPT has partnered with ministries, local authorities, and businesses to develop digital government, the digital economy, and digital society.
FPT has provided digital transformation strategy consulting, implemented data systems supporting public administration, governance, and public service delivery, and developed platforms that help enterprises digitalize operations and improve productivity. FPT has also brought technology into essential sectors such as healthcare and education.
Looking ahead, FPT will continue investing in computing infrastructure, data platforms, and AI, aligning technological self-reliance with the AI transformation needs of government agencies and enterprises while expanding the use of AI applications to better serve citizens.
