Four lecturers and researchers from FPT University have been named among the world’s top 2% most influential scientists in the 2026 ranking published by a research team at Stanford University in the United States.
The ranking is based on a database of more than 7 million scientists worldwide, covering 20 scientific fields and 174 subfields. Only researchers who rank among the top 2% in their respective subfields or among the 100,000 highest-scoring scientists are included.
According to the published results, Vietnam has 121 scientists from 44 research and educational institutions on the list. Among them are four lecturers and researchers from FPT University: Dr. Hoang Manh Tuan, Lecturer and Researcher in Mathematics; Dr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Lecturer and Researcher at the Faculty of Business and Law; Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy An, Lecturer, Researcher, and Deputy Director of FPT University’s Can Tho Campus; and Dr. Nguyen Luong Vuong, Lecturer and Researcher at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence.

The ranking uses a composite citation impact indicator known as the c-score, which consists of six components. These indicators place greater emphasis on researchers’ substantive contributions and leadership roles in scientific publications rather than simply the number of publications or co-authorships.
The recognition of FPT University researchers across diverse fields, including Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, and Artificial Intelligence, reflects the breadth of research activities at FPT University. It also highlights the university’s research capabilities and the quality of the academic team on the international scientific stage.
