Global IT services provider FPT has acquired the Polish design and development unit of Nippon Seiki Europe B.V., a subsidiary of Japan’s leading automotive supplier Nippon Seiki Co., Ltd. FPT is also establishing FPT Poland in Gdańsk to take over the acquired operations.
The new company will initially focus on bringing FPT’s software development capabilities closer to European customers, as vehicles become increasingly software-defined. Its expertise will span embedded and head-up display software development and validation, supported by system engineering, architecture, testing, and quality assurance.
The acquisition of Nippon Seiki Europe’s Polish design and development unit by FPT Poland will ensure operational continuity while expanding engineering capacity and enabling FPT to respond more effectively to customer needs across Europe.
The collaboration will strengthen both companies’ ability to respond to the evolving automotive industry and capture new opportunities in software-defined vehicles. Beyond the business transfer, both sides also plan to deepen their partnership through new business models and joint initiatives.
