Hanoi, October 15, 2026 – FPT Corporation held the groundbreaking ceremony for Digital Technology Building No. 01, part of the FPT Digital Technology Park Urban Area project in Phu Dien and Tay Tuu wards, Hanoi. The milestone marks a concrete step toward fulfilling FPT's commitment to the Hanoi People's Committee while creating a new environment for technology professionals to work, study, conduct research, and collaborate. The project aims to attract high-quality talent, connect domestic and international resources, and contribute to the innovation ecosystems of Hanoi and Vietnam.
In early 2026, Hanoi and FPT Corporation launched the overall FPT Digital Technology Park project in Phu Dien and Tay Tuu wards. FPT committed to mobilizing resources to ensure coordinated, effective implementation in line with the project's objectives, schedule, and quality requirements.
The groundbreaking of Digital Technology Building No. 01 represents the next concrete step in fulfilling that commitment, moving part of the project from planning and investment preparation into actual construction.
The building is expected to accommodate approximately 6,000 digital technology professionals and support staff. FPT envisions the facility as more than a workplace. It will serve as a collaborative environment where engineers, experts, students, scientists, and businesses can connect, exchange knowledge, conduct research, experiment, and jointly address real-world technology challenges.
Through this initiative, FPT aims to help develop a highly skilled technology workforce and strengthen research and development capabilities in strategic technologies.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, emphasized that the groundbreaking marks an important milestone and demonstrates a model of cooperation between an enabling government and a pioneering enterprise. It is also the beginning of a much longer journey.
From this point forward, Hanoi's expectations extend beyond the construction schedule to the speed at which a competitive technology hub can take shape, attract talent, master technologies, and generate new economic value.
Mr. Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, speaks at the groundbreaking ceremony.
“The city places trust in FPT while also setting very high expectations. Having fulfilled the first promise, FPT must continue delivering on the commitments that follow: on schedule, to the required quality, and in line with the shared vision.
“This building must be completed quickly, but more importantly, it must become home to genuine technology activities, attracting talented professionals, technology companies, research institutes, universities, and international partners. There must be real research, real products, real markets, and real economic value.
“The city also expects FPT to bring the very best here: technological capabilities, a global network, engineering talent, experience in workforce development, and the courage to venture into new fields,” Mr. Truong Viet Dung stated.
On behalf of Hanoi, the Vice Chairman reaffirmed the city's commitment to working closely with FPT and creating favorable conditions to accelerate progress and deliver results as early as possible.
City leaders expressed the hope that the area would develop into a technology-driven urban district, serving as the strongest testament to the commitments made between Hanoi and FPT.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, said:
“Hanoi has long been recognized as a center of knowledge, science, and highly skilled talent. We deeply value these strengths and are grateful to the leaders of Hanoi, city departments, agencies, and local authorities for working alongside us and helping resolve challenges so that the project could reach today's groundbreaking milestone.
“Today, this land begins a new journey: becoming a place that nurtures people, technology, knowledge, and new resources for the capital's socioeconomic development.”
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa expressed the hope that the area would become a place dedicated to nurturing talent in the fullest sense: where technology professionals can learn, work, and grow; where knowledge connects with research, production, and markets; and where new technologies and resources can emerge to support Hanoi's socioeconomic development.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, delivers remarks at the ceremony.
FPT also envisions Tay Tuu–Phu Dien as an open environment that brings technology closer to the community.
Drawing inspiration from the area's well-known Tay Tuu flower gardens, FPT aims to gradually transform the site into a “living exhibition” of strategic technologies.
Students will be able to visit, learn, and gain hands-on experience. Scientists, engineers, and businesses will have opportunities to exchange ideas and collaborate, while residents will be able to see emerging technologies being researched and applied.
Under this vision, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum technology, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and other emerging strategic technologies will not simply be showcased through models or events. Instead, FPT aims to create an ecosystem where these technologies can be researched, developed, tested, and applied.
FPT expects Tay Tuu–Phu Dien to gradually become a destination associated with Hanoi's identity as a city of science, technology, and the future.
To realize this vision, FPT is developing the Digital Technology Park as an open ecosystem connecting government, researchers, and businesses while expanding domestic and international cooperation.
FPT plans to strengthen connections with global technology companies such as NVIDIA, Samsung, and Microsoft; universities and research institutes; major technology enterprises; small and medium-sized businesses and startups; and Vietnamese scientists and experts based both domestically and internationally.

Through the project, FPT is supporting the objectives of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation.
The initiative also aims to help Hanoi attract highly skilled technology professionals, strengthen collaboration among research institutions, educational organizations, and businesses, foster the development of new technology products, and progressively enhance capabilities in mastering strategic technologies.
Digital Technology Building No. 01 represents an investment of more than VND 1.311 trillion and will be constructed on the 17,217-square-meter CNS1 land plot.
The building will comprise seven above-ground floors, one basement, and one rooftop technical level, with a total gross floor area of approximately 69,831.5 square meters.
Classified as a Grade I office building, the facility is designed for a service life of at least 50 years, with an estimated construction period of 12 months.
The building is designed to blend with the surrounding landscape while optimizing functionality and creating an open working environment that encourages connectivity, knowledge exchange, and innovation.
The project also incorporates measures to support efficient operations, responsible energy consumption, and integration with shared infrastructure.
Planned features include supplementary solar power, electric vehicle charging stations, rainwater collection systems for landscape irrigation and road cleaning, and wastewater treatment facilities before discharge into the shared system.
Digital Technology Building No. 01 forms part of the broader FPT Digital Technology Park Urban Area project in Phu Dien and Tay Tuu wards.
Under the master plan, the entire development will cover approximately 194.3 hectares, including around 58.5 hectares designated for the centralized digital technology park.
Once fully operational, the development is expected to accommodate approximately 75,000 workers, including digital technology professionals and support staff.
The centralized digital technology park will support research, education, development, manufacturing, business operations, and digital technology services. It will also provide spaces for product exhibitions, technology demonstrations, and ecosystem networking.
FPT expects that projects such as Digital Technology Building No. 01 will help transform Tay Tuu–Phu Dien into a thriving technology hub that attracts talent, supports education and research, fosters domestic and international partnerships, brings businesses together, and generates new technology products.
Through these efforts, FPT aims to contribute to Hanoi's innovation ecosystem and strengthen Vietnam's overall technological capabilities.
