From July 17 to 19, 2026, the final round of the Vietnam AI Innovation Challenge 2026 (VAIC 2026) will take place at FPT Tower, 10 Pham Van Bach Street, Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi. As a program partner, FPT will provide the venue, event infrastructure, AI computing resources, experts, and financial support, enabling participants to continuously develop AI-native products over 48 hours.
Through VAIC 2026, FPT and the co-organizers are creating a hands-on environment where young technology enthusiasts can turn AI knowledge into products and apply ideas to real-world challenges faced by businesses and society, supported by technology infrastructure and industry experts. The program also provides an opportunity for the younger generation to strengthen capabilities in researching, developing, and mastering Make in Vietnam technologies, contributing to Vietnam’s sovereign AI capabilities, the development of strategic technologies, and the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

(Illustrative photo)VAIC 2026 is a hackathon focused on developing core AI applications under the Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2026. The program is jointly organized by the National Innovation Center, Meta, Duy Tan University, and AI for Vietnam Foundation, with support from FPT and other technology companies and organizations.
The competition attracted nearly 2,000 registrations and more than 300 teams. Before the final round, participants completed a five-week intensive training program. During the 48-hour competition, teams will develop solutions, optimize source code, operate AI models, and complete demonstration-ready products.
The challenges span eight areas: finance and banking, healthcare, education, agriculture, smart public services, innovation, operations for small and medium-sized enterprises, and disaster prevention.
At the event, FPT will provide USD 5,000 in financial sponsorship and computing resources through the FPT AI Factory ecosystem, enabling teams to build, test, and optimize their solutions. FPT technical teams will provide direct support throughout the 48-hour competition, while FPT experts will also participate as judges and mentors.
FPT will also host an exhibition booth showcasing platforms, solutions, and capabilities in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance computing infrastructure. The booth will provide a space for participants, experts, and visitors to explore the FPT AI Factory ecosystem, connect with FPT technology teams, and discuss opportunities to apply AI to real-world challenges.

By opening technology infrastructure and expert resources to the community, FPT aims to help nurture a new generation of engineers who not only know how to use AI but can directly build Make in Vietnam AI products, progressively strengthening Vietnam’s technological self-reliance.
