On August 14, 2026, at the 6th National Congress of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) for the 2026–2031 term, FPT received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Science and Technology for its outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of Vietnam’s software and information technology services industry. The recognition further highlights FPT’s sustained contributions to strengthening technological capabilities, expanding markets, and advancing Vietnam’s digital transformation.

The Certificate of Merit was presented during the plenary session of the 6th VINASA National Congress in Hanoi. The event provided an opportunity for VINASA and Vietnam’s digital technology business community to review the industry’s progress over the previous term while recognizing organizations with outstanding achievements and contributions.

The recognition from the Minister of Science and Technology reflects FPT’s role across multiple layers of the technology value chain, from software development and IT services to the implementation of digital transformation systems and the research and application of emerging technologies for businesses, organizations, and society.

Over nearly 40 years of development, FPT has consistently positioned technology as a core capability while expanding its contributions through an integrated ecosystem. The Corporation brings together resources spanning technology research, product development, consulting, implementation, operations, and talent development, enabling it to deliver technology solutions and services at scale. This approach allows FPT to address the increasingly diverse digital transformation needs of customers in Vietnam while progressively bringing Vietnamese technology capabilities deeper into the global market.

FPT representatives receiving the Certificate of Merit include Mr. Tran Phong Lam, Director of the Government Sector at FPT IS, FPT Corporation, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Dan Phuong, Head of Global Marketing and Customer Experience at FPT Software, FPT Corporation.

In Vietnam, as Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and other key resolutions issued by the Politburo have become guiding frameworks for the country’s development strategy, FPT has recognized its responsibility as a major technology corporation and moved quickly to translate their core directions into action.

FPT has established teams of experienced experts to work alongside ministries, government agencies, and local authorities in operating the two-tier local government model, developing data and digital transformation strategies, and applying technology to address critical challenges at the ministerial, local, and national levels.

FPT has mobilized significant technology resources to ensure the continuous and secure operation of IT systems at key institutions supporting the two-tier local government model. These efforts include upgrading systems for the Ministry of Finance, the State Treasury, and nearly 20 commercial banks; supporting Quang Ninh Province in implementing the two-tier local government model; and upgrading the Digital Citizen application for Ho Chi Minh City.

FPT has also supported the implementation of comprehensive digital platforms that have significantly transformed core operational processes at the Ministry of Justice, including the Electronic Receipt System, the National Legal Portal, and the Legal Database. In addition, FPT served as an infrastructure and strategy consultant for the development of National Data Center No. 1, which meets leading international standards, including Uptime Tier IV certification.

In international markets, FPT has progressively strengthened the position of Vietnamese technology enterprises, establishing a presence in more than 30 countries and territories and becoming a strategic partner to more than 130 Fortune 500 companies.

Starting with its early international markets in Japan, the United States, and Singapore, FPT has continuously expanded its network across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. In 2024 alone, FPT opened additional offices in markets including Japan, South Korea, India, China, Malaysia, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia, further strengthening its ability to deliver technology services directly to global customers.

FPT’s globalization journey is reflected not only in the scale of its international presence but also in its growing ability to undertake increasingly large and complex projects.

In 2023, FPT reached USD 1 billion in IT services revenue from overseas markets, marking its evolution from a software exporter into a global-scale technology services provider. In 2024, FPT secured a USD 225 million contract in the United States, along with contracts worth more than USD 100 million in Singapore and Germany. In 2025, the Corporation reached another milestone with a USD 256 million contract from a leading Asian energy corporation.

These contracts, each valued in the hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars, demonstrate the growing ability of Vietnamese technology companies to participate deeply in strategic digital transformation programs for major corporations worldwide.

In parallel, FPT has accelerated its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and partnership strategy with technology companies across major markets. Transactions in the United States, Europe, and Japan have strengthened FPT’s consulting capabilities, specialized technology expertise, and local talent base, enabling the Corporation to progressively move into higher-value segments of the global technology services value chain.

In 2024, FPT completed its first M&A transaction in Japan and launched an AI Factory in the market, further expanding its investments in technologies of strategic importance.

Alongside its global expansion, FPT continues to strengthen its capabilities in technologies including AI, cloud computing, big data, blockchain, automation, and low-code platforms. These capabilities are applied across industries such as banking and financial services, insurance, automotive, manufacturing, energy, and healthcare.

FPT’s technology capabilities and service quality are further reinforced through international standards and certifications covering software development, testing, automotive technologies, and healthcare. Through these efforts, FPT continues to bring Vietnamese engineers, expertise, and technological capabilities deeper into the global value chain while contributing to the international standing of Vietnam’s IT industry.

The 6th VINASA National Congress, held under the theme “Digital Technology Synergy – Elevating the Nation,” highlighted the importance of stronger collaboration across the technology business community, greater technological self-reliance, and enhanced national competitiveness.

As digital technology increasingly becomes a key driver of economic growth, FPT sees its responsibility as extending beyond product development and market expansion. The Corporation also seeks to contribute its resources, experience, and technological capabilities to addressing Vietnam’s broader development priorities.

The Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Science and Technology, recognizing FPT’s achievements and contributions to Vietnam’s software and IT services industry, acknowledges the Corporation’s sustained efforts while providing further encouragement for its continued development.

Building on the capabilities established over nearly four decades, FPT will continue investing in technology, people, and collaborative ecosystems, advancing high-value products, solutions, and services, contributing to the capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises, and strengthening the presence and impact of Vietnamese technology in global markets.
