An overview of the new FPT Polytechnic Da Nang building.

The new FPT Polytechnic Da Nang facility comes into operation as Vietnam accelerates the reform and modernization of vocational education in line with Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025, issued by the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.

According to Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the University Council of FPT University, FPT Corporation, the new facility expands opportunities for students to learn, practice, and gain professional experience. The investment also reflects FPT Education’s long-term commitment to education, with a focus on building modern learning environments, strengthening hands-on training, and aligning education with the practical needs of businesses.

“What stands out is that the building focuses not only on its exterior design but also on creating highly functional spaces. The seventh floor is a highlight, combining indoor and outdoor areas overlooking the sea. The spacious, modern auditorium can accommodate not only FPT Polytechnic activities but also other events and programs.
“Investing in spaces like these reflects a clear philosophy: an educational institution should be more than a collection of classrooms. It should create an environment where students can learn, practice, interact, gain experience, and connect with society. This is also how FPT Education and FPT Polytechnic approach the development of an educational environment that responds to the changes of our time,” Dr. Tung said.

Equipped with industrial-standard machinery and equipment, as well as practice facilities designed to simulate real-world workplaces, the new campus enables students to develop professional skills throughout their studies.

The Information Technology practice lab features high-performance computer systems and dedicated network infrastructure. The Control Engineering and Automation lab integrates intelligent control equipment and automation models, enabling students to practice on systems that closely resemble real-world production environments.

At the event, Mr. Mai Tan Linh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, emphasized: “This provides an important foundation for students to develop knowledge, professional skills, and the ability to adapt to real-world working environments. As workforce requirements continue to rise, vocational education must constantly innovate, connecting training more closely with practical needs and labor market demand.
“Investing in facilities and creating a modern learning environment is therefore an important step toward improving training quality and providing better conditions for learners. The new building inaugurated today is not simply an investment in physical infrastructure; it also demonstrates the College’s commitment to supporting students throughout their journey of learning, training, and development.”

For Nguyen The Hien, a student majoring in Chinese Language, the value of a new learning environment lies in the experiences it enables. Hien said he was “really looking forward to the practice areas and common spaces at the new campus, as FPT Polytechnic’s curriculum already places a strong emphasis on hands-on learning.”

Alongside investment in facilities, FPT Polytechnic Da Nang is strengthening students’ capabilities in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), an increasingly important competency for the workforce in the digital era.

Students are equipped with the skills to communicate, interact, and work effectively with AI, from improving productivity to addressing practical challenges in their future professions. AI is positioned as a workplace “assistant,” with applications across areas including Marketing, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Automation.

Integrating AI into training represents a strategic step in preparing FPT Polytechnic students to proactively adapt to technological change, strengthen professional capabilities, and enter the labor market with greater readiness.

The inauguration of the new FPT Polytechnic Da Nang building also reflects FPT Education’s long-term investment in education, with the goal of creating modern learning environments, expanding hands-on training, and aligning education with the practical needs of businesses. The new facility is expected to contribute to meeting workforce development needs in Da Nang and across Central Vietnam.
