FPT Shop has been chosen among Top 10 retailers in Vietnam according to an announcement by Singapore-based Retail Asia Publishing Pte Ltd and Euromonitor (Asia) Pte Ltd.
The top 10 retailers of Vietnam are Saigon Co.op, Big C, SJC, PNJ, Vien thong A, Parkson, Pico, FPT Shop etc. In 2014, FPT Retail delivered 78% revenue growth, reaching VND 5.226 billion.
Vietnam's Saigon Co.op has been listed among Top 200 retailers in Asia - Pacific in 2015 with the 190’s position. In 2014, the company gained delivered more than VND 26,000 billion in revenue, an increase of 26% year-on-year.
This is the first time a Vietnamese retailer has been named among Top 200 retailers after 12 years of launching Top 500 Asia - Pacific retailers.
According to Retail Asia Publishing, Top 500 Asia Pacific Retailers are made basing on a survey of retailers in 14 economies in the region, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
The ranking takes into account many variables such as retail sales, growth rate, business areas and the number of stores. The organizing board selects a list of the top 500 enterprises in the region and a list of the top 10 retailers in each country.
