On September 8, FPT University officially inaugurated the Omega Hub multipurpose complex at the Hoa Lac campus, kicking off a series of activities celebrating the University’s 20th anniversary (September 8, 2006 – September 8, 2026).
An overview of Omega Hub.As part of FPT University’s 20th anniversary celebrations, the inauguration ceremony of Omega Hub took place on the morning of September 8, attended by representatives of government agencies and partner organizations, along with FPT University leaders, staff, lecturers, and students.
Guests attending the ceremony included Dr. Dang Van Dinh, former Director-General at the Government Office; Mr. Le Thanh Son, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Hanoi High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks; and Senior Colonel Kieu Trinh Thai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Artillery and Missile Command, together with representatives of project supervision consultants, design consultants, and construction contractors.
Representing FPT Corporation were Mr. Nguyen The Phuong, Senior Executive Vice President and CFO of FPT Corporation, and Ms. Lai Huong Huyen, former Chief of Office of FPT Corporation.
Representing FPT Education and FPT University were Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the University Council of FPT University; Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh, President of FPT University; Ms. Nguyen Kim Anh, Vice President of FPT University; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, Vice President of FPT University; and Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, Vice President of FPT University, along with leaders of departments and units across FPT Education and FPT University.

An impressive and emotional opening performance.Inspired by Vietnamese bamboo, a symbol of resilience and community spirit, Omega Hub has a building footprint of approximately 3,950 square meters and nearly 5,460 square meters of total usable space across two floors. The building features an open ground-level structure and an expansive roof designed to maximize natural light while adapting to Vietnam’s tropical climate.
Designed as a distinctive and highly flexible multipurpose facility, Omega Hub can accommodate a wide range of activities. The facility can host sporting events for approximately 500 people, including basketball, futsal, badminton, and table tennis; large-scale conferences and seminars for around 1,200 people across four separate functional spaces; and events, performances, and stage productions with a maximum capacity of approximately 2,000 people.
Omega Hub features a flexible design that accommodates a wide range of activities.Speaking about the facility’s role in FPT’s educational vision, Mr. Nguyen The Phuong, Senior Executive Vice President and CFO of FPT Corporation, said: “Education is an important part of FPT Corporation’s long-term strategy because we believe that people are the foundation of all development. The opening of Omega Hub on FPT University’s 20th anniversary not only marks the timely completion of the project but also carries significant symbolic meaning. Named after “Omega,” the final letter of the Greek alphabet, the facility represents a milestone in completing the infrastructure plan for the Hoa Lac campus while further enriching the learning and student experience ecosystem.
Reflecting on the University’s journey, Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the University Council of FPT University, said: “Our educational facilities have been named sequentially beginning with Alpha. Omega Hub is a particularly significant milestone, while the remaining letters leave room for more projects to be developed here in the future.
“Looking back at this land nearly 20 years ago, when there was virtually nothing here, helps us appreciate the tremendous amount of work and dedication that has gone into building what we have today. This campus could not have become what it is without the care and contribution of every individual who has been part of the journey. I would like to thank everyone who has stood alongside us over the years, our partners for their continued support, government agencies for their backing, and the construction contractors who have shared FPT University’s vision.”
