On August 27, as part of a working visit to Da Nang, a high-level delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic visited and held a working session at Da Nang Software Park No. 2, including FPT’s R&D Center for High Technology and Semiconductor Chips.
The delegation was led by Mr. Santiphap Phomvihane, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Chairman of the Laos–Vietnam Cooperation Committee. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Tran Quoc Phuong, Deputy Minister of Finance and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam–Laos Cooperation Committee, and Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.

At FPT’s R&D Center for High Technology and Semiconductor Chips, Mr. Do Xuan Tien, Innovation Director of the IDA Project at FPT IS, FPT Corporation introduced the delegation to FPT’s strategy for researching, developing, and mastering technology. The presentation highlighted three key areas: Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Semiconductor Technology.
The delegation also explored several products and solutions within the Made by FPT ecosystem. Among them was an AI Agent for automated multi-dimensional accounts payable reconciliation, part of the akaBot automation ecosystem, as well as iSoma, a document digitization solution. These solutions demonstrate how technology can be applied to operations, helping businesses and organizations accelerate their digital transformation.

During the visit and discussions, the Lao delegation showed particular interest in FPT’s digital transformation solutions, high-tech research and development capabilities, and semiconductor development strategy. The visit opened up further opportunities for knowledge and experience sharing and potential technology cooperation, contributing to stronger Vietnam–Laos collaboration in science, technology, and digital transformation.
