Phu Tai JSC Expands Its Digital Transformation Journey with FPT Through a New-Generation Deployment Model

Phu Tai Joint Stock Company (Phu Tai JSC) recently announced its comprehensive digital transformation strategy and officially kicked off the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition across seven core subsidiaries in the stone and wood manufacturing sectors. This represents one of the largest Cloud ERP projects in Vietnam’s materials manufacturing industry, marking a significant milestone as Phu Tai moves toward a modern, data-driven, centralized governance model—accelerating business growth amid global competition and demonstrating how mid-sized enterprises can adopt world-class management systems through a new deployment approach.

 

Building on the successful pilot rollout of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition at Phutai Quartz—Phu Tai’s key quartz stone manufacturer—the company has decided to scale the system simultaneously to seven additional units, covering core business functions including finance & accounting, sales, procurement, warehouse management, production, quality management, and e-invoice integration.

Among them, five stone-manufacturing entities—Phu Tai Binh Dinh Quartz, Tuan Dat Minerals, Enterprise 380, Binh Dinh Stone Processing Factory, and Nhon Hoa Building Materials Factory—will be deployed in just four months, inheriting the optimized process model, templates, and operational framework refined at Phutai Quartz.

For the two wood-manufacturing subsidiaries, Phu Tai Binh Dinh Wood and Thang Loi Enterprise, the system will be implemented from scratch, tailored to the wood production supply chain while still adhering to the company-wide governance principles.

 

At Phutai Quartz, the adoption of Cloud ERP transformed operations within just five months. The business transitioned to a completely new digital-operational model powered by a centralized “digital brain,” seamlessly connected data, real-time process control, and precise, data-backed decision-making.

More than 50 core business processes were standardized in line with global best practices for the quartz stone industry, supplemented by over 60 customized reports and functions designed to meet both international governance standards and Vietnam-specific requirements.

 

The project delivered measurable improvements:

• 30% reduction in internal processing time

• 40% faster order handling, stock-taking, and inventory decision-making

• 50% improvement in real-time decision capability through dashboards & live analytics

• Inventory accuracy maintained within 2% deviation

• 20–25% reduction in excess stock

• Demand forecasting accuracy increased to 85%, enabling proactive raw material planning and rapid responses to large and high-end orders from markets such as the U.S. and the EU.

 

This pilot was regarded as a “readiness test,” proving the organization’s ability to adapt to new digital governance foundations and giving Phu Tai the confidence to scale the transformation.
