$500,000 in scholarships
FPT’s CEO Truong Gia Binh recently decided to grant 50 full scholarships, each worth $10,000, for students at FPT University in its inaugural year. Those receiving a scholarship must have at least 27 points in Group A (math, physics and chemistry) from the 2006 national university entry exams, be members of Vietnamese teams in international competitions, or have been awarded first or second prize at national competitions in math, physics, chemistry or information.

The purpose of the country’s largest ever scholarship fund is to attract the top talent to the university. After being trained in an international-standard training environment at FPT University , they are expected to be the core of the future development of the corporation. Therefore, after being admitted, the students will sign a contract agreeing to work for FPT upon graduation, with a monthly salary starting at US$400.
It is expected that those admitted to FPT University this year must have received at least 24 points from the national university entry exams. All students in 2006 courses will sign contracts to work for FPT after graduation with a minimum starting salary of $400 per month (for those with an excellent and good degree) and $200 per month (for those with medium or qualified degree).
Those that do not meet the abovementioned criteria can be admitted to FPT University under international cooperation training programs with diplomas granted by an overseas university, but they will be required to pass another entrance exam organized by the university. This exam is expected to be held in early October.
