10 years growing talents

Founded on 25^th December 1999 under the sponsorship of FPT, FYT was first initiated by Chairman Truong Gia Binh to give support to potential talents.
Pioneering in training and directing the development of talented young people, FYT can be said to be a special trainer in the form of a club.

Only by registering for that scholarship as a member of FPT Young Talent Center (FYT for short) had Huy been accepted. “In the U.K., a member of such organization like FYT is appreciated more highly than an international medal” said Huy.

That is one of many stories shared by FYT members about realistic values brought by the club. Silently going side by side with the young talents of the countries, it has been ten years for FYT to mark its presence.

According to Vu Dinh Hoa, FYT Director, the center has made considerable contribution and support for young talents of the country, creating the linkage and more favorable environment for the talents to further develop their strength.

For ten years, FYT has been attended by 220 members, a number of whom has become famous and contributed greatly for the society by products and projects for the community such as: the Vietnam’s Intelligence Network, Hanoi Young Talent Club, the first e-commerce website in Vietnam and among others.

A number of young directors have come from FYT such as Vuong Vu Thang- Director of Vinacom, Nguyen Hoa Binh- Director of Hoa Binh Peacesoft and Vuong Quang Khai- Director of Vigatech.

From this cradle, the majority of FYT members are studying abroad in United States, Australia, Britain, France, Singapore, Russia, India, and Japan. Most of them have finished or been pursuing doctoral programmes.

As the place gathered by young talents, FYT has successfully played the role of a training center providing knowledge and skills, providing sponsorship and material assistance for members to study and take part in profession-oriented activities and especially meet with recognized people in the society.

Distinguished guests invited to speech at the center include prestigious experts and influential figures in the society and economy such as General Vo Nguyen Giap, Pham Chi Lan the economist, Chu Hao the former Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Duong Trung Quoc and Le Van Lan the historians and Hoang Tuy the Professor of Maths. Their stories have taught members with lessons to be the great. This is the key activity of FYT.

FYT members gather regularly every week. There are usually 25 new members admitted each year after their successfully pass the IQ, GMAT , English test, essay composing and interview in late September and early October. Selected candidates should show their comprehensive understandings both in profession and the ability to acquire and analyze social issues. Their membership lasts for two years.

According to the survey recently conducted by FYT, 41,7%, 55,6% and 44,4% of students respectively assessed that FYT: creates more useful relationship in studying and working; is the motivation that encourages member to try his best to learn and practice to succeed; and improves their social knowledge and skills. The survey also indicated that 68,6% of member found themselves mature and more self-confident participating FYT.

11 course commenced, 10 years going side by side with the young talents and 220 members participated are impressive figures achieved by a for-society-center like FYT. The center is known as the unique organization in Vietnam initiated and sponsored by an enterprise without any condition.
