2009: FPT’s revenue reached more than VND 18,700 billion, profit of over VND 1,700 billion.

At the end of the financial year 2009, by efforts in business and management, revenue of the whole Corporation reached VND 18,751 billion (equivalent to over USD 1 billion), reaching 109.8% of the expected plan, increasing 11.6% compared to the year 2008.

Especially, profit of the whole Corporation in the year 2009 achieved great growth rate in comparison with that of the previous year. Pre-tax profit gained over VND 1,700 billion, increasing 37% compared to the year 2008 and gained 112% of the expected plan; after-tax profit of the parent company’s shareholders achieved over VND 1,062 billion, increasing 27% in comparison with the same period of previous year and gained 117% of the expected plan. Primary earnings per share of the Corporation achieved VND 7,487, increasing 26% compared to the year 2008.

Budget payment of the Corporation in the year 2009 was VND 3,026 billion, increasing by 5.2% compared to 2008.

With impressive performance in 2009, FPT Corporation was ranked the first in the list of 500 Vietnam biggest private enterprises, according to Ranking Table VNR500 announced on January 13^th, 2009

Business lines’ performance

All business lines of the Corporation gained good result in 2009. Especially, software and service maintained higher revenue and profit growth rate than general growth rate of the whole Corporation. In the end of 2009, revenue of the software and service areas reached nearly VND 3,600 billion, profit reached over VND 1,000 billion, increasing 31% and 29% respectively in comparison with 2008. Detailed operation results of major areas are as follows:

System integration – With revenue of nearly VND 3,000 billion, FPT continued keeping the first rank in Vietnamese market in the area of system integration. Profit of this area reached great growth rate of 29% thanks to the outstanding growth of service area, profit of the whole branch reached VND 415 billion, exceeding 8% of the plan.

Telecommunication – continued being a sector with the highest revenue and profit growth rate of the Corporation with the revenue of VND 1,851 billion and profit of over VND 540 billion, reaching growth rate of 44% and 51% respectively in comparison with the year 2008, beyond all expectations.

Software export – This is a business segment with the biggest value-added structure among areas with the rate of pre-tax profit/revenue reached nearly 30%. Revenue in 2009 reached VND 756 billion and profit reached VND 208 billion, accounting for 12% of total profit of the Corporation.

Technological products distribution – This area had been forecasted to face many difficulties in 2009. However, driven by many business methods and risk management, it exceeded the expected plan with revenue and profit, set at beginning of the year, with the rate of 118% and 105% accordingly.

10 FPT REMARKABLE EVENTS IN 2009

1. FPT changed the Board of Directors

In April 2009, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam officially took position as General Director from Mr. Truong Gia Binh. This is the first step in FPT Administration Restructure Plan by separating the Board of Directors and the Board of Management.

FPT Board of Management is now supplemented with young, enthusiastic and creative leaders. They are Mr. Phan Duc Trung with more than 10 years of experience in finance and banking; Mr. Truong Dinh Anh with more than 15 years of experience in enterprise management, specializing in information technology and telecommunication; and Mr. Le Trung Thanh with more than 15 years of experience in marketing and trademark in Vietnam.

2. Affirming information technology and telecommunication as the key business line towards massive consumers.

This is shown in the Resolution of FPT Board of Management dated May 22^nd, 2009.

FPT will integrate capacities and resources of all member units to create products being used every day, every hour by millions of households and accompanying with every customer, aiming at better satisfying the demand of e-citizens in the new era.

3. Successfully issuing VND1800 billion of bonds enclosed with right certificates for the first time in Vietnam

On October 9^th, 2009, FPT successfully issued 1,800 bonds enclosed with right certificates with total value of VND 1,800 billion. This is the first issue of bonds enclosed with right certificates in Vietnam in accordance with international standards.

This issue shows changing steps in using new financial instruments, contributing to re-structuring the financial system of the Corporation as well as commitment of FPT in direction to international standards on enterprise administration and globalization.

4. Introducing F-mobile – the first cell phone trademark owned by FPT Corporation

The first step in realization of the commitment directing to massive consumers of FPT Corporation is the introduction of F-mobile products.

Officially being introduced to Vietnamese consumers in June 2009, F-mobile is the first Vietnamese cell phone trademark in the market. FPT Corporation has invested to develop compact connection tools and integrate various functions and utilities into the cell phone. Putting applications into the cell phone is always paid attention to develop along with investment in improving models and types of F-mobile by FPT for F-mobile to actually become a favorable product of Vietnamese consumers.

Another outstanding advantage of F-mobile product line is its suitable price and quality to most of Vietnamese consumers.

F-mobile promises to be an advantageous start of the forthcoming massive product line of FPT.

5. FPT Software Company transfers documents on experience in building, applying and taking exams to achieve CMMi-5 certificate for Vietnamese information technology community through Ministry of Information and Communication, presenting the leading role of FPT in developing Vietnam software industry.

The targets of FPT Software when transferring this software production procedure system are to create a positive break for Vietnamese information and technology enterprises, to jointly build a competitive software industry in the world, to partly contribute to building a “national trademark” of Vietnam. This action is highly appreciated by Vietnamese information and technology community and leaders because of its benefit and community aspects.

CMMi5 is a precious asset of FPT Software, which crystallizes brainpower and effort of FPT Software officers in 8 years with full of challenges. Having CMMi-5 in hand, FPT Software has an effective marketing tool which can replace all representation on software production capacity and win trust of client at the first step for accessing. CMMi-5 is a “ticket” for FPT Software to join big markets in the world.

Experiences of FPT Software, which are generalized and transferred to Ministry of Information and Telecommunication, will help enterprises shorten time and effort to deploy application of CMMi at all levels.

6. FPT Telecom Company enlarges operation area and is the first to provide Triple Play service

The year 2009 is considered the year of broadening “territory” of FPT Telecom when setting its foot to 15 provinces and cities in three regions: North – Central – South, increasing total number of Company’s branches up to 22.

In March 2009, FPT Telecom was the first telecommunication service provider in Vietnam offering new charge package developed upon Triple Play service – using IP infrastructure to transmit images, sound, data in the same service package to end user. Service packages operate in ADSL line with capacity up to 6Mbps and FTTH fiber optical cable of FPT Telecom. Hereon, only by registering with a supplier and deploying a transmission line, then it is able to use three 3 services including: Internet access, fixed telephone and Internet television. Monthly bill will be issued for all services used by the clients with appropriate expenses.

It is estimated that, by then end of 2010, FPT Telecom will have presented in more than 40 provinces. At present, FPT Telecom accounts for more than 30% of the market share with nearly 400,000 ADSL subscribers.

7. Opening FPT Da Nang Building, affirming strong development of FPT in the Central

On January 11^th, 2010, FPT Da Nang Building in Massda Industrial Park, An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra district was officially put into operation. This is the first building owned by FPT Corporation in Da Nang, which shows commitment in investment and development of software industry in particular and other industries of FPT Corporation in the Central in general and contributes to making Da Nang become a big industrial center of the country.

Along with FPT Cau Giay Building, FPT Lang Ha Building (being rebuilt at the present) and FPT Building in Ho Chi Minh city, FPT Da Nang Building is the forth building owned by FPT Corporation.

FPT established Da Nang Branch from August 2004 and since then all business fields of the Corporation developed here. With about 700 staff and revenue up to over VND 1,200 billion in 2009, FPT is the leading enterprise in Da Nang and in the Central in Information Technology & Telecommunication, which significantly contributes to GPD of the city.

In the coming time, FPT will continue investing in building FPT City Area in an area of 181ha, including Software Park, FPT University and residential area in the core traffic route which is 7km far from the city center.

8. FPT Information System Company signed the contract for deploying the record ERP Project

In November 2009, FPT Information System Company signed the 12.6M-valued contract for deploying the record EPR system in Vietnamese information and technology field with Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex). As a role of general contractor, FPT Information System Company will deploy ERP system in 41 sub-companies of Petrolimex in Vietnam, including 111 deployment locations nationwide, which meets demand of about 1,300 users. The EPR Project will be performed within 24 months. After completion, Petrolimex will have an international standard EPR system, with the solution deployed successfully in most of the world’s biggest corporations in petroleum field such as Petrochina, ExxoMobil, Gazprom, Royal Dutch Shell, Sinopec, Petrobras, BP, TOTAL, BHP Billiton and Chevron.

9. Succeeding in strategy as a general contractor of big projects with government agencies

By implementing the Project on Personal Income Tax with the role as general Contractor, FPT Information System Company has completed the period of application development and is preparing to implement period of user level test with 300 test scenarios. All steps of the Project have been accepted and highly appreciated by General Department of Taxation. So far, both the General Department of Taxation and FPT has affirmed that the Project will be successfully implemented. Besides, in 2009, FPT Information System Company also completed the project with the role as a general contractor on supplying and integrating information and technology solution for General Statistics Office of Vietnam to carry out General Census on Population and Housing that are excellently appreciated by the client.

10. Equitizing FPT Information System Company Limited and FPT Trading Company Limited

FPT Information System Company Limited was changed into FPT Information System Joint Stock Company with charter capital of VND 300 billion.

Regarding business: In the end of financial year 2009, with effort in business and management, revenue of the whole corporation reached VND 18,751 billion (equivalent to over USD 1 billion), reaching 109.8% of the set plan, increasing 11.6% in comparison with the year 2008.

Pre-tax earnings gained over VND 1,702.2 billion, exceeding 12.3% of the annual set plan and increasing 37.3% in comparison with the same period of 2008. After-tax earnings of parent company’s shareholders reached nearly VND 1,061.8 billion, increasing 17.3% compared to the year 2007. Average primary earnings per share are VND 7,486.5, increasing 18.4% in comparison with the same period of 2008.

In 2009, although being affected by global economic crisis, traditional business fields of FPT such as: System Integration, Software Export, Telecommunication, Training and Telecommunication Technology product distribution have gained good results.

These fields have fulfilled the set plan on profits in 2009 with 108%; 87.5%; 101.9%; 102.8% and 105.1% respectively.

Regarding personnel: Up to December 31^st, 2008, the number of staff working in FPT reached 10,162.
