25 teams join SMAC Challenge

25 teams from nine universities in Hanoi registered to join the Mobile Robot programming competition.

According to the Organizers, the participants are very young and have many good academic achievements.

25 teams from nine universities in Hanoi will join SMAC Challenge 2014.

The preliminary round named "Writing smart Q&A application for the Android platform" was launched. In order to overcome this first round, the teams must complete their enrollment documents (10% of total points) and Android application (90% of total points).

After preliminary round, 16 teams will be selected to join Phase 2 (mid July). They will participate in a tech summer camp program held by FPT in the end of July.

4 best teams will be chosen for final after 16 teams complete their presentations and demo applications on Smartoshin at the second round in the end of August.

The final round will take place in October, consisting 3 parts of Art, Intelligence and Strength. At Art, each team will be expected to create and develop one dance for Robot. At Intelligence, teams will develop applications to help Robots listen to and answer random questions from the Organizers. Finally, teams will compete to find way in the maze and complete a task given by the Organizers.

Director of Technology Research Institute Tran The Trung said that the contest aimed to create an interesting and rewarding playground for ICT students as well as encourage the spirit of study and research of the youth.
