Chairman Emeritus of WITSA appointed as member of FPT’s BOD

Mr. Dan E Khoo, well-known in IT industry with more than 25 years of experience, has been in charge of the position since November 1st.

Under the resolution 31.10-2014/NQ-HĐQTFPT, FPT continues adding a well-known and experienced member in the field of ICT to the Board of Directors (BOD) to promote the global strategy. Mr. Dan E Khoo has rights and obligations as a member of the official BOD.

Mr. Dan E Khoo has good relations with all major IT centers in the world and ever cooperated with global organizations namely the UN, OECD, World Bank and World Economic Forum.

He will perform tasks as an official member of the BOD including: Guiding and directing the implementation of the global strategy of the company; Advising on strategy and operations of FPT in developing countries.

The BOD has agreed to propose to the latest coming General Meeting of Shareholders to approve Mr. Dan E Khoo to be an official member during the term 2012 - 2017

Earlier, FPT’s the BOD appointed Mr. Tomokazu Hamaguchi, a former CEO of the company NTTData (Japan) cum the incumbent Chairman of JISA, a temporary member of FPT Corporation’s the BOD from October, 2014.

Thus, FPT’s the BOD has three foreigners out of seven members, including two independent ones from November 1st, 2014,

Mr. Dan E Khoo is the Chairman Emeritus of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), a consortium of Information Technology (IT) industry associations from 84 economies around the world.

Mr. Khoo is well-known in IT industry with more than 25 years of experience, during which he has been in charge in key positions in many global and regional IT organizations such as President of the Southeast Asia Information Technology Organization (SITO); Director of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO) and Chairman of WITSA in two terms from 2008 to 2012.

In Malaysia, he was a former chairman of the Association of the Computer Industry Malaysia (PIKOM). Dan E Khoo has good relations with all major IT centers in the world and ever cooperated with global organizations namely the UN, OECD, World Bank and World Economic Forum.
