Chairman of National Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Environment believes in successful launching of F1 satellite

On June 5, Chairman Phan Xuan Dung and the delegation of the National Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Environment visited the FPT Space Lab.

The delegation of the National Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Environment led by Chairman Phan Xuan Dung and his two deputies namely misters Le Quang Huy and Nguyen Dang Vang visited the FPT Space Lab (FSpace) of FPT Technology Institute, FPT University on the 13th floor of FPT Cau Giay Building.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, one of the FPT founders introduced the delegation the development milestones and achievement of FPT Group.

Most of the visiting time had been paid to the presentation by Director Vu Trong Thu of the FSpace on the F1 satellite project that his team is researching. The delegation then visited FSpace lab in the 14th floor of FPT Cau Giay Building.

Thu disclosed that the F1 Satellite would be launched in this third quarter. It would help to monitor sea boats, search and rescue, forest fire warning, etc. FSpace would continue to research and pilot F2 satellite, which would weigh two kilograms and size 10x10x20 cubic centimeters.

Expressing admiration for FSpace research, Deputy Nguyen Dang Vang said: “You have put one step to the very technology involving the whole world”. In his opinion, researches by FPT are highly feasible and would contribute to the protection of national security in near future.

“FPT should take this opportunity and the Committee will provide necessary support to accelerate the researches”, he added.

The delegation also visited working area of FPT Software and Neopost and Freecale on the 7th floor of FPT Cau Giay Building, seeing the advanced technologies that the company is using.
