Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front visited on Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day

In the morning of October 13, a group of the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Politburo member, Chairman of the Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan visited FPT on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day.
FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, FPT CEO Bui Quang Ngoc, the Board of Management and leaders of FPT’s member companies welcomed the crop and gave a report on business.

FPT Chairman Mr. Truong Gia Binh gave thanks to Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan for his renaming FPT "Forward Pioneering Team" at the 25th anniversary. The head of the Corp said that maintaining this spirit, FPT was a pioneer in building the Corp with 20,000 employees; applying resolution 36 – considering IT as a way to develop economics with many solutions and apps for economic fields; operating in 19 countries with thousands of employees; pioneering in the field of SMAC and education.
Especially in the field of education, FPT not only trained 17,000 IT bachelors, expanding education to Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, but also made contributions to creating a new generation of USD millionaires.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan congratulated the achievements of FPT. "We highly appreciate determination, vision, and a little romance of the first FPT people, who began their career in the food industry, then switched to IT. They have worked hard and generated innovation and solidarity".
Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee also highly appreciated FPT’s investment in personnel as the Corp had 20,000 employees in the field of ICT. "It is great that FPT will reach 100,000 employees by 2020. M & A can help FPT gain rapid growth, "said he.
Being specially interested in education, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan congratulated FPT University with 17,000 students on becoming the largest specialized university in Vietnam, a pioneer in the field of IT training. He also appreciated FPT’s pioneering in the field of SMAC in order to help improve society management and nation management. However, he drew FPT’s attention to maintaining national security.
For VnExpress.net, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan gave praise that the electronic press brought strengths into full play and possessed integrated newsrooms. His assessed that VnEpress.net had the largest number of readers nationwide and overseas."From the perspective of Vietnam Fatherland Front, we are willing to jointly organize discussions, seminars on issues readers pay much attention to,” stated he.
After first 8 months of 2014, FPT earned over VND 21,000 billion, an increase of 21% over the same period, completing 108% of the year plan. Profit after-tax was nearly 1,350 billion, up 1% compared to the same period last year. In particular, pre-tax profit from foreign markets reached more than VND 340 billion, increasing 5% compared to the same period in 2013.
