Ms Truong Thanh Thanh gave awards to voluntary organizations and individuals in Chim En 2012.
Unlike the previous year, the award evaluation this year would comprise two phases including profile reception and online evaluation (3 July-8 September) and assessment by Judge Commission (9-26 September).
The Organization Board disclosed that this shortened process would help individuals and organizations to prepare and edit their profile more carefully before submitting to the official assessment round.
The board will select the most prominent profiles to give the awards to, including five “Typical voluntary group” awards, five “Typical volunteer”, one “potential voluntary group”, one “potential volunteer” and four extra awards from online assessment made by the community.
In 2013, FPT has upgraded the official website for the Chim En Award. Accordingly, all the activities from submitting profile, updating, voting to sharing are conducted online to widespread the charitable will to the entire society and improve the award’s transparency.
The Messenger of the award this year is Miss Vietnam 2012 Dang Thu Thao. It is also funded by TienPhong Bank and VnExpress as the information sponsor.
The Chim En Award was organized for the first time in 2009. After four years, the award’s website, www.vicongdong.vn , has attracted the participation of nearly 500 voluntary groups with around 54,000 volunteers from all over the country.
