DaNang People’s Committee and FPT Corporation signed the investment agreement on DaNang FPT Technological Urban Area
January 12th 2008, DaNang People’s Committee and FPT Corporation signed the investment agreement on DaNang FPT Technological Urban Area (FPT City DaNang). The total investment is around USD 952 million with more than 181 hectares in Ngu Hanh Son District, DaNang City.

The signing ceremony was attended by Vietnamese Vice Minister of Information and Communications - Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong; Secretary of DaNang Party’s Committee – Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh; the Mayor of DaNang People’s Committee – Mr. Tran Van Minh and representatives from provincial authorities and FPT Corporation. Also at the ceremony, General Director of FPT Corporation granted the cheque worth USD 10,000,000 to support Central Cancer Hospital building in DaNang City.
FPT City Danang is expected to be a complete, modern and well - equipped and environment friendly urban area which has complete accommodations, services, recreation areas, workplaces and schools.
FPT City DaNang will have a high level socio technical and uniformed infrastructure; high plants coverage; low medium buildings and ground utilization. FPT City DaNang will have a FPT University campus (25 hectares); Software Park (33 hectares); accommodations for employees; space for transportations, ecological areas, public services and land lots for villas building.
The project is planned to be kicked off in 2008 and put into operations in the mid 2012 among which FPT University - the international standard education environment and a nuclear element of the project will satisfy learning and teaching needs of more than 10,000 students and 1,500 educators. Software Development Centre will be a place for 3,000 engineers and Information System Integration/Internet and telecommunication services provision/Information technology and telecommunication products center will be for 1,000 experts. Accommodations and functional areas will satisfy about 20,000 people that is expected an ideal place for young citizens in the near future.
FPT aims at realizing its new strategy all for e-citizens that hopes to create civilized and creative working conditions in DaNang City; develop workforce in the software and hi-tech sector; contribute to socio-economic development and speed modernization of DaNang City in the coming time.
