Dell and FPT Information System announce strategic cooperation in Vietnam and ASEAN region

Under the agreement, for Vietnam , FIS is Dell’s new strategic partner and will be responsible for selling Dell-branded corporate products. For the ASEAN region, FIS will be a consulting and implementing services partner for Dell. The two parties are committed to support each other at the highest level to reach the agreed business goals.

This strategic partnership will see Dell Vietnam expand its footprint in the large business and SMB space; and widen FIS’ range of product offerings and solutions to customers while realizing their globalization strategy.

“We are very excited at the business opportunities that the Dell/FIS partnership is going to present for Vietnam and the ASEAN region”, said Mr Ng Tian Beng, Dell General Manager for ASEAN+TW.

For Vietnam , Dell will also be supporting FIS to establish distribution network and setup Dell standardized after sales services. The Dell products offered through the partnership are the award-winning Latitude range of corporate notebooks, multi-functional OptiPlex corporate desktops, highly-acclaimed Dell Precision workstations, newly launched next-generation energy-smart PowerEdge servers and PowerVault storage solutions.

For the ASEAN region, FIS will provide infrastructure consulting services to the Dell services sales team in these countries. Dell’s infrastructure consulting and implementing services business focuses on the 5 key areas of Messaging, Database, System Management, Virtualisation/Consolidation and Storage.

Addressing at the signing ceremony, Mr Do Cao Bao, CEO of FPT IS said “This strategic partnership marked an important step in our globalization.
