Deputy PM visited FPT University’s construction site in Hoa Lac

In the morning September 21, 2011, upon working schedule at Hoa Lac hi-tech park, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan visited FPT University’s construction site and asked the school leaders about the progress and quality of the project as it is considered one of key projects being implemented there.

The Deputy PM noted that he was sure about the training quality of the university and reminded the school to pay special attention to logistics and care to the living of thousand of students as it is the first university to be built in Hoa Lac area. Dr. Le Truong Tung reported to the Deputy PM about the investment plan for teaching and studying; student accommodation; sport complex and other services. Particularly, the university is building two football yards including an artificial grass court and a clay court. The construction of other works including an artificial ice-skating yard, a Vovinam martial art practice stage and a sport complex for basketball and volleyball is also accelerated.

The project to build FPT University in Hoa Lac Hi-tech park (Hanoi) was approved with initial investment of nearly 2,700 billion dongs, which was officially ground-broken on an area of 30 hectares in August 2011. The architectural design and plan are conducted by a Japanese vendor, which consists of seven major works including: lecture hall and research area; student dormitory; administrative- management area; physical training; laboratories; park and among others. The first construction phase on an area of 9.1 hectares will be completed to welcome students in May, 2012.

In reply to Dr. Le Truong Tung’s report on the project progress and service quality, Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan praised the university for spending great effort to boost the project implementation. He also expected that FPT University would become one of the largest university in Vietnam in future.
