'e-Customs becomes an inevitable trend'

On June 26, the dialogue conference between the Customs and Enterprises was held at the meeting hall of Chon Thanh Custom Office, Binh Phuoc province. This was also an occasion for the customs to recognize those enterprises that had fulfilled all the declaration of their im-exported products. The conference was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Deputy Director of FPT IS Ho Chi Minh and Mr. Nhu Manh Hung, Sales Director of FPT E-Customs Services (FCS).

Mr. Truong Ngoc Luong, Deputy Director of Binh Phuoc Customs Department disclosed that the Department had successfully implemented and applied the electronic customs procedure for all the subsidiary offices to comply with the Decree No. 87 by the Government and Circular No. 196 by the Ministry of Finance.

According to Mr. Truong Ngoc Luong, Deputy Director of Binh Phuoc Customs, e-Custom can be viewed as remarkable success in the modernization of the customs in general and its implementation of “single-window” mechanism in particular.

Upon opening the conference, Mr. Vo Quoc Bao, Vice Manager of Chon Thanh Customs Office, reported the operation status of enterprises locating in the province, especially their e-customs declaration. He shared that the e-customs service had helped them with reduced cost and resources and shortened thee clearance time.

However, there had been a number of errors in the e-Customs clearance system version 4 (V.4) reported from the enterprises’ side. Additionally, as the central receipt system is located at the General Department of Customs, the enquiries from the enterprise community have not been smoothly addressed.

At the conference, the Deputy Director of Binh Phuoc Customs Department awarded compliment certificate for FPT IS to recognize the company’s contribution in training and implementation of the e-Customs system for the Department and its three subsidiaries as well as other enterprises within the province.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City, the implementation of e-Customs had become an inevitable trend, meeting the demand of enterprises and the customs. The e-Customs service provided by FPT IS has been quickly establishing its position in the market thank to premium features that outdo other competitors. It was considered fully potential business in the coming time.
