Earning release: FPT earned 1,949 billion dongs after ten months

FPT’s core businesses such are services and software outsourcing continues to achieve positive growth rate. Particularly, telecommunications services, online services, and IT services increase 30% in comparison with the same period last year while the software outsourcing grows 35%.

Telecommunications

Opening Ha Nam branch

On October 22, FPT Telecom opened its 45^th branch at #132 Tran Hung Dao, Phu Ly, Ha Nam, which would provide all of available services such as ADSL, FTTH, OneTV and among others. Previously, the company also opened a new branch in Ninh Thuan on October 15.

Online Enthusiasm on Gate domain

On November 6, FPT Online and VDC-Net2E launched Online Enthusiasm, one of the most outstanding tactical games in Chinese market in 2012. The game would officially run on the first server named O Sao at http://nhiet.gate.vn at 11am on November 6/11.

Software:

FPT opens branch company in Frankfurt (Germany)

On November 13, the twelfth member company of FPT Corporation officially came into operation in Frankfurt, Germany. The newly born company expects to grow in the fields of investment trust consultation, management and construction of information systems; production trust and distribution of packaged software; production and development trust of application software; knowledge transfer and training of software engineer within the Germany, which is now the strategic market targeted by FPT in Europe.

Celebrating four years USA branch

On October 13, 2012, FPT Software Branch in USA (FPT USA) celebrated four year anniversary. FPT USA aims to be one of three most powerful branches of FPT Software, pioneering to realize the strategy to develop FPT into a leading provider of smart services. After four years, the USA market has grown steadily. The Branch is serving its first customers, cooperating and competing equally with largest outsourcing companies in the world.

Cooperating with Edaran IT Services

On October 16, FPT Software attended the signing ceremony between FPT and Edaran IT Services – a Malaysian system integrator providing IT services for governmental sector. This event marked a starting point for the presence of FPT Software and big companies such as Edaran, EMC, and HDTech in serving companies representing the Malaysian government.

FPT IS won project for General Department of Taxation

On October 22, FPT IS was announced winner the package “Renew software for the personal income tax management system in 2012” for the General Department of Taxation. The package will be implemented by FPT IS PFS, a member company of FPT IS in a period of 45 days. The company is completing the contract negotiation process.

Early implementation of ERP system for Licogi 16

FPT IS and Licogi 16 announced the official operation of the SAP ERP system on October 18 in Ho Chi Minh City after seven months of implementation. This is the single model of enterprise resource management solution developed by SAP basing on general system analysis, which had been successfully deployed in Licogi 16.

FPT IS ERP signed contract with RE! supermarkets

FPT IS officially signed the contract to deploy SAP ERP and iVend Retail, an integrated retail solution developed by SAP for the RE! supermarket on October 17. The standard ERP modules to be implemented include Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Inventories while that of iVend Retail include shop management and POS. This is the forth retailer using ERP provided by FPT IS ERP after Tran Anh, BigC and FPT Retail.

FPT IS passed Juniper’s highest certification

In October 2012, FPT IS was officially certified as Operate Specialist Partner, the highest level of Juniper service provision. Beside providing products, FPT IS is fully capable to implement and provide warranty and maintenance services on behalf of Juniper Networks in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. With this certification, FPT IS is now able to provide customers with comprehensive solutions using all range of Juniper products and services.

Completing mass deployment of the Personal Income Tax Management project

The 1^st date of October, 2012 marked turing point of the Personal Income Tax Management (PIT) project when the mass deployment had been completed in the rest 19 provinces. Accordingly, all the 700 tax offices across the nation have officially put the PIT management system into operation. The project has been through a period of three years with the participation of more than 100 staff of FPT IS and tens of SAP and Accenture experts.

Implementing FPT.eHospital for MeKong Can Tho Hospital

On October 1, FPT IS Soft signed the contract to implement the FPT.eHospital software for Mekong Can Tho Hospital. The management modules to be deployed include: reception and examination, para-clinic, clinic, pharmacy, finance-accounting, HR and payroll, fixed asset an d La b Information System ( LIS ) and Picture Achieving and Communication System ( PAC S) .

FPT IS upgrades Oracle E-Business Suite for Bibica

On October 1, Bien Hoa Confectionary JSC ( Bibica) signed the contract to upgrade its current Oracle E-Business Suite to R12 version with FPT. Accordingly, beside updating Finance-Accounting, Procurement, Sales and Inventories modules, the company will purchase the Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) and Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP).

FPT IS to provide IT equipement for An Binh Bank

In late October, FPT IS signed the contract to provide netwgork and security equipment for the data center of An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank.The contract worth more than 16 billion dongs will be implemented by FPT IS Bank HCM at the bank’s data center at 36 Hoang Cau, Hanoi within 140 days commencing on the contract signing date.

Education :

FPT University becomes the champion of A CM/ICPC Vietnam

On October 27, FPT University became the champion of the ACM/ICPC Vietnam 2012 contest with a First and a Second Prize. The ACM/ICPC Vietnam 2012 is the first year to organize the final ground online. With technology support, this year contest could be held at 11 sites instead of an only place as previous years and was participated by record number of 230 programming teams from 50 colleges and university across the nation. ACM/ICPC is the international programming contest, attracting the attendance of the most brilliant student programmers in the world.

Distribution:

FPT to exclusively distribute Kingston RAM in Vietnam

FPT Distribution officially announced its role as the exclusive distributor of Kingston’s ValueRAM in Vietnamese market. The company is also the authorized distributor of Kingston’s SSD and Flash removable disk in the Southern Central and the Southern regions of Vietnam.

FPT distributes two new Lenovo’s smart-phone brands

On October 15 the two mobile phone brand names namely Lenovo P700i and Lenovo S560 were officially distributed in Vietnamese market by FPT Center of Electronic (FCE), a member of FPT Trading. Lenovo S560 is the fifth models to be introduced in the forth quarter.

FPT Shop opens more showrooms

On October 19, FPT Shop opened the eighth showroom in 213 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. Upon this occasion, customer would have the opportunity to enjoy a discount of 35% for each product bought from the 19^th to 23^rd of October. The company also opened its first showroom in Vung Tau on October 24 at 258 Bacu street, ward 3, Vung Tau with similar promotion program applied in five days from 24^th to 28^th of October. To date, there have been forty shops and showrooms marked FPT Shop across the nation.

FPT Retail introduces new iPod Touch, starting the promotion program “old tablet in exchange for a New iPad”

On November 03, 2012, the Apple iPod Touch and iPod Nano were introduced by FPT Retail JSC (FPT Retail). The company also initiated an attractive promotion program “Old tablet in exchange for a new iPad”. Similar program was conducted by the F.Studio and F.Store by FPT on the same day, which lasts until November 30, 2012.
