Establishment of FPT Telecom Central
In January 2010, FPT Telecom Central Company, a member of FPT Telecom was officially established. This action is a part of market expansion strategy set by FPT Telecom to offer more options of high quality telecommunication services for people of the Central region.

Headquartered at 173 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Hai Chau district, Da Nang City, the company is responsible for four branches including: Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, and Dak Lak, which are also the crucial economic areas of the region.
Products and services provided by the company in the area of Central- Highland Central include: FTTH Fiber Optic Cable Internet, ADSL, internet television and dial-up services.
By 2010, FPT Telecom Central shall extend its network coverage across twelve provinces and cities in the regions including Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and KonTum. Simultaneously, it is expected that the number of subscribers shall be up to 100.000 by the end of 2011.
General Director of FPT Telecom Central, Mr. Nguyen The Quang said: “The Central region suffers from continuous floods and storms, making the people parsimonious. This place is, however, the land of traditional fondness for learning; therefore, the Internet, with useful features, has been gradually penetrated in the life of the Central region. By Internet access and application of information technology, the Central people shall be able to keep pace with the development speed of the country and the world.
For these reasons, telecommunication services and Internet are considered essential and potential for aggressive development in the future. Recently, the Central region is populated by 14 million people, of who only 20% use the Internet compared to 27% of the whole country. This requires FPT Telecom Central restless effort to meet information requirement of customer, offering the people digital services of high quality at reasonable cost”.
By the end of 2009, FPT Telecom has established three regional companies including FPT Telecom North (Hanoi-based), FPT Telecom Central (Da Nang based) and FPT Telecom South (Ho Chi Minh City based) with 22 branches in the North-the Central and the South of Vietnam.
In 2010, FPT Telecom expects its presence in 40 provinces and cities and targets at 1 million Internet subscribers in 2011.
