According to Mr. Truong Van Tuan, Distribution Director of Suntory PepsiCo, DMS – Lite solution was very successful after 3 years of being applied. "At present, Suntory PepsiCo has developed the solution for 50% of its distributors which contribute 70% of the whole revenue."
On June 14, 2013, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage Company Ltd and FPT Software HCM singed a DMS-Lite contract (Distributor Management System). DMS-Lite at Suntory PepsiCo had the main modules including Distribution and Salesman Management.

In addition, the solution also helped distributors manage finance, sales service, promotion and warehouse, information integration and transmission as well as business reporting system.

FPT Software's solution also addressed sales targets according to staff; increasing productivity and helping distributors manage finance, sales service, promotion etc.
Before cooperating with FPT Software, PepsiCo applied an international software to the company in Vietnam. However, the system required PepsiCo’s distributors to be standardized in order to have the same process and the same price. Moreover, its slow conversion and maintenance made the company difficult to apply this solution in a specific market like Vietnam.
The leader of Suntory PepsiCo revealed that with DMS – Lite, its distributors knew exactly how many customers they had, the history of a selling point, the number of stores bought Pepsi in the past month etc. They also reduced inventory cost as orders were received and handled immediately.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Khoa, a DMS expert of GSC under FPT Software, with the traditional sales method, a worker wasted 30 minutes each day to make his report, equivalent to three days each month, and over a month per year. "If the digital technology is applied, staff can take advantage of this time to increase his sales by 13-15%," said Mr. Khoa.
Moreover, the sales app on the tablet, iPad and mobile devices could help salesmen get full information when meeting customers, provide better customer service and increase orders. And information on orders and customer care will be included in the database of the company for better exploitation.
