FPT and BIDV contracted for “Supply and implementation of the MasterCard connection, issuance and payment system”
On the morning of March 24th, at the head office of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV for short), Mr. Duong Dzung Trieu, the new CEO of FPT Information System (FPT IS) and Mr. Tran Huy Hoang, Chief of BIDV Secretariat signed the contract “Supply and implementation of the MasterCard connection, issuance and payment system”. The contract worth US$ 3,090,000 and VND 1,822,500,000 shall be implemented within 9 months.

The signing ceremony was attended by FPT IS’ Chairman Do Cao Bao, and Mr. Le Dao Nguyen, Deputy General Director, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Vinh, Director of Card Center, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoa, Director of Information Technology Center, Mr. Dang Manh Pho, Director of Information Technology Board from BIDV.
According to this contract, FIS shall be the provider and implementer of the financial switching software- ITS/Switch, the software for management of card issuance and hardware devices for BIDV who aims at modernizing and diversifying card products
The event that BIDV becomes the 6th bank in Vietnam using ITS/Switch has confirmed the leading prestige and capability of FPT IS in card payment at present.
