FPT and Mekong Capital to invest in Vietnam- Australia International School (VAS)

Accordingly, FPT Capital and Mekong Capital shall respectively hold 25% and 14% of share of the Vietnam Australia International Education Joint Stock Company- the owner of Vietnam-Australia International School (VAS).

This is a preparation for a breakthrough development planned by VAS for assisting Vietnamese young generation to integrate further into the world. The School is determined with the goal that helps training young Vietnamese students to be as qualified as those of foreign countries. VAS students are confident and strong-willed to integrate into the world education system.

Mr. Pham Tan Nghia, Chairman of VAS said: “for VAS, the cooperation with the two organizations (FPT and Mekong Capital) is the preparation for a nationwide breakthrough and the milestone in assisting Vietnamese youth in the international integration .

About Vietnam Australia International School:
Founded in 2004, VAS is now having 12 schools from nursery to secondary, which are located in Ho Chi Minh city. VAS focuses on the provision of education services to middle class families which is increasing in the Southern region. By the end of 2009-2010 school year, there have been 5000 pupils enrolling the schools.

After completing the secondary scheme, the students are certified with the ICDL Starte r and ICDL Full Certificate for high school. ICDL is the international standard ICT training program by the European Computer Driving License ( ECDL for short ). The ICDL accreditation has been present in 146 countries around the world with 36 languages and recognized by a number of global institutions.
