FPT anounces 2006 business results (not audited)
FPT Corporation successfully completed financial year 2006, continuing a year of reaching targets and maintaining high growth. Below are some important targets:

With net revenue of VND11,693 billion (US$730 million), FPT reached 99.69% of its 2006 plan, which was 42.40% higher than in 2005.
A notable point was the important shift in software services and hardware turnover in the overall turnover structure. Although hardware turnover grew at a high rate (by 38.5% over 2005), software services turnover increased 84.41%, doubling hardware turnover growth. This growth increased the proportion of software services revenue from 8.5% in 2005 to 11% in 2006.
The highlight of the 2006 business results was high growth in profits, exceeding the corporation’s targets. FPT’s pre-tax profit reached VND609 billion, a 77% increase compared to the previous year and representing 110% of the plan. After-tax profit increased 60%, or 109% of the plan. The growth in profit was much higher than that of turnover.
The rate of FPT shareholders’ after-tax profit over average chartered capital was 80%, 9.38% higher than targeted.
In 2006, FPT employed 7,008 staff, some 2,509 (or 41.6%) more than in 2005. The growth in employment corresponded to growth in turnover.
With the critical achievements gained in 2006, FPT expects to maintain its high growth and efficiency in 2007, reaching its strategic targets during the process of globalization.
