FPT appoint Vietnam’s youngest rector
Dr. Dam Quang Minh, 35 was recognized as rector of FPT University by the People's Committee of Hanoi at the request of FPT’s BOD and FPT University (FU).

Accordingly, Mr. Dam Quang Minh became Vietnam’s youngest rector. With many international experiences, the newly-appointed rector of FU is considered to be a good choice for FU’s goals in next stages including Globalization, Education Tech and Mass in order to help FU become a pioneer in spreading intelligence of the nation and make significant contributions to Vietnam’s education.
Born in 1979, Dam Quang Minh is a well-known young doctor with 13 years of experience in the field of higher education and international cooperation. He was involved in founding and making FPT Polytechnic become the most successful high-quality vocational college in Vietnam. At present, FPT Polytechnic has more than 6,000 students and 6 education and training establishments along with a range of representative and reception offices nationwide.
He also played an important part in the internationalization journey of FU as making contributions to founding international centers such as FPT – Greenwich and FIA with thousands of students including hundreds of foreign students.
Among his many distinguished accomplishments, he ever worked as Director of FPT Polytechnic College, Deputy Director of FPT International Training Institute, Representative Office Director of Moskito-GIS company (Germany), and served as tint as a lecturer at the National University of Hanoi.
Dr. Minh received his PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Greifswald (Germany) in 2007. He also got the Degree of Bachelor in Science (First Talented Program), Hanoi University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University) in 2001.
With his quality experience in the education and training field, vision and dedication of the generation of young intellectuals, Dr. Dam Quang Minh is expected to help FPT University take fast, firm steps on the internationalization journey.
