FPT Aptech becomes finalist for Imagine Cup 2008 in Vietnam
Team FPT Aptech became one of 5 to be chosen to compete in the final round of Imagine Cup 2008 on May 22nd, 2008 in Hanoi. The cup is held by Microsoft Corporation in cooperation with Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP).

Imagine Cup is a global technology competition started by Microsoft Corporation to promote the imagination, passion and creativity potential in technology of young people around the world to find applicable solutions for real life. This is the sixth year the competition has been held in Vietnam, but the first year jointly organized by both Microsoft Corporation and VAIP. The competition officially kick-started in November 2007 with the theme “the Environment”.
Hanoi University of Technology’s team (Milestone) won first prize with the project “At-source Automatic Collection, Classification and Management of Inorganic Trash System” and will be participating in the international Final round of Imagine Cup 2008 in Paris from 3rd to 8th July 2008.
Team TDNSolution, FPT Aptech’s representative participated with the project “Treating diseases of crops and live stocks with environment protection”. The project in essence was a website with comprehensive information about live-stock raising as well as effective ways to protect live-stocks without harming the living environment. Viewers of the website will be amazed at the number of images available for illustration.
Mr. Nguyễn Long – Secretary General of the VAIP said "Although the theme was hard, more than 800 participants signed up for the competition nationwide. The finalist projects were ones with high feasibility".
