FPT Arena Idol 2009: Playground of creativity

Launched one month ago, FPT-Arena Idol 2009 attracted lots of attention from the inside as well as the outside of FPT-Arena. In the list of nearly 100 registered shows, there were many different types, such as rock, rap, folk songs, emotional songs, popping, hiphop dance, beatbox and... whistling.

Going with FPT-Arena Idol is an experienced jury: Mr. Thanh Tung – Lecturer of Hanoi Conservatory of Music, Singer Ha Phuong and Singer Thanh Huyen, as well as 20 sub-jurypeople randomly chosen from the audience.

The hall of Cau Giay House of Culture was heated by the cheering shouts of over 1000 audiences who are FPT-Arena’s students and their friends from Hanoi Agriculture University, Hanoi Architecture University, Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Art…

On the night of the final round of FPT-Arena Idol, there were 15 most interesting and thrilling shows chosen from the short-list round.

With the criterion of crowdedness and excitement, FPT-Arena Idol was a chance for candidates from amateurs to become half-professional and fully professional performers in terms of both performing styles and expressing ability.

“I really admire them. I did not think that FPT-Arena Idol had so many wonderful talents! Very creative and full of students’ features,” said Mr. Thanh Tung – lecturer of Hanoi Conservatory of Music, when he watched the candidates’ shows.

At the end of the contest, the organization board awarded the First Prize for the popping show of GiangZe (FPT-Arena 1), Second Prize for the dance combination “Hip hop & Belly dance” of the Crazy Chick group (FPT-Arena 2), and Third Prize for Do Quang Minh (Omega).
