FPT become exclusive distributor of Huawei phones in Vietnam

Since January 21, all smartphones and tablets of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd (China) have been distributed in Vietnam by FPT Technology Product Company Limited FTP under FPT Trading.

Huawei overcame LG để to become the world's third-largest smartphone vendor.

According to Manager of Consumer Business Group of Huawei Vietnam Allen Wang, this collaboration marked an important milestone of Huawei's business development plan in Vietnam. Accordingly, the relationship with FPT will become the foundation for Huawei to continue its product development projects in 2014.

Currently, as Huawei's market share in Vietnam is not large, the new product distribution must “start from scratch”. This challenge is also potential for FPT to exploit in the future.

Via FPT, Huawei is expected to launch three new products including smartphones named G610, Y320 and tablet MediaPad 7 Youth. All of three items are among the low and mid-rage segment average.

Huawei is the world's second largest IT solution provider as well as one of the world's largest handset makers. By the end of 2012, Huawei’s products and services have been available in 140 countries, serving more than one third of the world population.
