FPT become only technology representative among top 50 Forbes

The Corp continues to be ranked among "50 best Vietnamese listed companies 2014" by Forbes Vietnam.

On October 13, Forbes Vietnam hold a press conference on the awards ceremony to honor 50 best Vietnamese listed companies 2014 ranked by Forbes. On October 17, the ceremony will be held at the Intercontinental Saigon Hotel, HCMC to laud the success of the selected companies.

According to the Organizations, all of these winners achieved outstanding business results in 12 industries and took key positions in the market. The average revenue growth of these companies over the last year was seven percent, far higher than the two percent of the stock market, according to the report. Especially, a 23% rise in pre-tax profits was much higher than 15% one of businesses on the two stock exchanges in the past year.

FPT is the only representative in the Technology category of the list, while businesses operating in the fields of consumer products, oil and gas, and industrial manufacturing dominate the rankings.

Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Vietnam Tran Dang Khoa stated that the list of 50 best Vietnamese listed companies aimed at providing information about the listed stocks with outstanding business results and high profits for investors as well as honoring and encouraging entrepreneurs.

Basing on audited financial reports of all listed stocks on HOSE and HNX as of December 31, 2013 and stock prices as of the closing session on April 25, Vietnam Forbes made a ​​ list of 50 companies possessing a market capitalization of more than VND 300 billion and over VND 150 billion in 2013 revenue, and getting profits in 2013. According to data released by Forbes, FPT gained VND 28, 640 billion in revenue and had a market capitalization of VND 18,570 billion.

The companies were evaluated on their compounded growth in revenue, profit, return on capital (ROC), return on equity (ROE) and earnings per share (EPS) from 2009 to 2013, especially on results in 2013.

In 2015, Forbes Vietnam will continue to publish new lists of companies and characters by the ranking methods of Forbes Global, including the well-known list titled "30 under 30" to select 30 most successful people under 30 in Vietnam. The list is expected to announce in January 2015.

Last June, FPT just became the only representative in the Technology category of the list of Top 50 best performing companies in Vietnam for the third consecutive year by the Investment Bridge Magazine.

FPT Corporation's 2014 annual report was named Top 10 Annual Report by the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange Department and the Securities Investment newspaper.
