FPT builds Telecommunication Technology Research and Software Production Center in Hochiminh City

The buildings will serve as FPT Corporation’s offices and research center, equipped with international standard facilities for software development and exports, which will also help to attract skilled workers in the region.

SWA Vietnam Limited, Saigon Construction Consultation Quality Control, and Song Da 207 JSC (a member of Song Da Construction Corporation) is responsible for the design, supervision, and construction of the project respectively. The site lies in the southern economic region, about 15 – 17 km away from city centre, Saigon Port and Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The Park’s standardized infrastructures also help to facilitate the smooth construction of the project.

Construction is divided into 3 phases. The 7-storey A Block building, with a total floor area of 14,886 square meters, will provide working space for about 2,000 employees during the first phase. The 12-storey B Block and 9-storey C Block covers an area of 44,768 square meters, will provide working space for about 6,000 employees in the following phases.

The complex will operate in similar fashion to FPT’s current model, assembling staff from affiliates to manage the particular overseas and domestic markets. Its laboratories, IT research and processing areas are equipped with the latest technologies available in Vietnam.

The complex consists of the following:

- Offices: cover most of the floor area; exclusively designed for IT research and development.

- Exposition and conference area: located mainly on the ground floor; small and medium meeting rooms, large indoors and outdoors space available for expositions and seminars. Big lobby and other service areas (restaurants, bars, and reception areas...) join with exposition areas to create a convenient and a deluxe atmosphere.

- Technical support area: server and support rooms ensure servers’ continuous operations.

- Recreation and sports area for workers.

- Transformer and backup generator station, sewage treatment and rain water collection systems at external locations.

- Supporting infrastructures include a low front wall, greeneries, and 2 guard stations. Low surrounding walls allow for a panoramic view of Cai Spring.

- Support structures are designed in harmony with the garden and courtyard, located separately to ensure exclusivity with the main complex.

- Trees, roads, and parking lots: plants and trees are purposely planted to create a beautiful landscape. Roads and parking lots are specially designed to regulate access to ensure structural aesthetics.

The first construction phase includes:

- Ground floor, includes a luxurious lobby; reception and waiting areas; exposition and conference rooms, kitchen and restaurants…

- 2^nd to 7^th floor offices with function rooms such as: restrooms, technical support rooms, and server rooms…

- The rooftop houses a water roof, cooling systems, air filters and elevator rooms…
