FPT CEO discussed national brand-name

CEO of FPT Corporation, Nguyen Thanh Nam, attended a ground-table seminar themed “Nation Branding” held at Rex hotel, Ho Chi Minh City on 30 June.

The seminar was held by Tri Viet Education Research and Development Center and Sai Gon Media Company with an aim to sketch out general picture on components of a nation branding from multi-dimensional discussions of speakers and attendees. The discussion focused on the definition of a “Nation branding” and the importance of developing a national brand-name.

As a speaker presenting “the relationship between the Economy and Enterprises”, Mr. Nam shared the stories and lessons experienced by FPT in working with foreign customers in the course of global integration , especially in building FPT as a brand-name that goes hand in hand with the Vietnamese ones. Ending the speech, he emphasized: “ a national brand-name should start from people first”, which was highly agreed by the Organization board and the attendees.

The seminar was also attended by a number of special speakers including: Ms. Pham Chi Lan – senior economist; Mr. Gerard Boivineau – General Consulate of French Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City; Prof. Dr.Tran Van Khe; Mr. Ly Quy Trung - General Director of Pho 24; Historian Duong Trung Quoc and Ms. Nguyen The Thanh- General Director of Saigon Media Vietnam.

The discussion chair, Ms. Ton Nu Thi Ninh, said that the topic on how to develop a national brand-name would be further clarified in next seminars to get a deeper and more detailed insights of this topic to apply in Vietnam.
