FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh reelected Vice President of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO)

FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh was reelected Vice President of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASICIO) at its Summit in Indonesia last November.

Mr. Truong, who is also the President of Vietnam Software Association (Vinasa), was voted Vice President of ASOCIO in 2009.

ASOCIO is the largest and most prestigious international IT organization for the Asia and Oceania region. It was founded in 1984 with the objective to promote, encourage and foster relationship and trade among its members and to develope computing industry in the region.

Presently, ASOCIO represents the interest of 29 economies including 22 members from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Parkistan, Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam and seven guest members from USA, UK, Canada, Spain, Russia, France and Kenya.

Today, ASOCIO has more than 10,000 members who are leading ICT companies in the region.
