FPT Corporation opens FPT Cau Giay building and announces development strategy

At the opening ceremony, the President of Management Board cum General Ditector of the FPT Corporation - Mr. Trương Gia Bình annouced the development strategy of FPT Corporation to 2015, becoming a leading Corporation in term of electronic services provision for e-community and infrastructure development. Information Technology and Telecommunication will continue play the vital role in digital convergence trend with aim to provide products, utility services for e-citizens. This is the most important direction in the development strategy of the FPT Corporation.

FPT Cau Giay Office Building is combined with two function areas: a FPT Center for software production and human resource training and an office. The opening ceremony marks the expansion and strong development of the FPT Corporation, affirming its position in term of software production and Information Technology human resource training that are resulted from tireless development of all employees during 19 years. The event marks another development step of FPT one year after its stock is listed on HoChiMinh City Transaction Centre, opening a new development period in the development and integration process into the world.

Recently, the UNDP annouced the list of 200 big companies in Vietnam, among which the FPT Corporation ranks 14^th of the Top 20 companies. According to UNDP, Top 200 companies followed 03 broad strategies such as: Enhancing key business activities; Expanding export markets; Diversifying new business areas. The FPT Corporation also takes the steps and will continue to pursue in the time to come.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Trương Gia Bình anncouced the FPT Corporation Strategy to 2015 “For E-citizen”. He added: “As a Vietnam leading IT Corporation, FPT wishes to cater demands of customers by providing the best products and diversified services. In the globalisation tendency, the mankind has witnessed digital convergences thanks to IT and telecommunication achivements. Citizens and organisations use new model mobile phones such as PDA, Ipod, ADSL, WiFi, WIMAX…for working and automatic transactions. They will be E-citizens, customers in the era of internet”.

New business fields such as real estate, banking and finance of FPT aims at delivering the best products and services for e-citizens who will have needs to live in e-cities so, FPT in the future, will build hi-tech cities to satisfy their needs with hyginence and clean environment, security is protected by wireless alarming anywhere, automatic services anytime. E-cities will have an intelligent infrastructure with sattlite that takes high fine photos of traffic in the city and help find ways out.

Furthermore, e-citizens also need financial services, e-banks which provide full and accurate information that helps customers easily do transactions. At that time, e-commerce will play the key role. Each e-citizen will be equiped with a chip containing personal information such as name, office address, home address and ID number for personal transactions. Education term in such kind of cities will be diversified interactive programs in which children and adults will access to e-library at home by a personal ID granted by the international education organisations.

About FPT Cau Giay Office Building:

The building has 15 floors including 2 technical floors and 1 basement on the area of 4,000 square meters and the utilisation area of 20,000 square meters. The building is designed in a modern architecture with open space, intelligent elevators and cetered air conditioning system.

The building is assembled with anti heat glass, alucobond slabs with black and white colours. The technical systems in the building is up-to-date technologies in Vietnam like Building Monitoring and Management (MBS) which is a combination of mechanics and electronics with aim to save consumption energy of the monitoring and management system. Information related to operations of the building, air conditioning, electricity, lights, camera will be controlled by BMS therefore, safeguards do not have to turn off lights at individual office. All quipments are programed.

The building is consulted by WSP – HongKong and PTW – Australia. The basement is for vehicles and technical systems; the second floor is a convention hall with capacity of 1,000 persons ; a training institute for 800-1000 learners. Besides working space, meeting rooms, the building also has space for entertainments, common places for employees. The building has high quality at 1st standard, anti-earthquake at level 7, fire protection level 2 and duration is 100 years.

As planned, the head office of the FPT Corporation at 89 Láng Hạ Road, Đống Đa District, Hà Nội City will be undercontruction from April 2008 with 27 floors and 5 basements which is expected to be completed on the occassion of FPT’s annaversary celebration September 13rd 2010./

About software production and human resources training center:

The center is organised in line with the structure of the FPT Corporation with particiapation of manpower from its subsidies dependent on local and international market segments. FPT will focus on traning, education for experts, technicans on social demands in line with international standards. The center will carry out distant education, well-equiped labs for software research and development./
