FPT deploys cloud computing in Vietnam
On 18th May, FPT Corporation signed a cooperation agreement with Trend Micro, a global developer of messaging and web security software and services for mutual development, exploitation and provision of cloud computing services and technology in Vietnam.

Under this agreement, Trend Micro and FPT shall jointly cooperate in researching and developing cloud computing services based on open source code to support Vietnamese organizations and individuals in accessing, using and exploiting benefits of cloud computing. Accordingly, applications for their work will be implemented more flexibly with cost saving. It is expected that in early 2011, both parties will provide the first cloud computing services in Vietnam.
FPT – Trend Micro cooperation is considered a big advance in cloud computing in Vietnam and follows the global technology trend. Cloud computing is a new technology trend. Given a developing Internet foundation, cloud computing enables resources and service software to be provided to users on demand. Users shall enjoy benefits such as: lower cost, better information safety and easier change in size.
According to Gartner’s researches, the global cloud computing market is expected to grow quickly from USD 48 billion in 2008 to USD 150 billion by 2013.
