FPT earned 862 billion VND in the first 5 months
In the first five months, FPT Corporation continued its successful performance with total revenue of 9,794 billion VND, increasing 28.9% compared to the last year, reaching 122.3% of the planned target. Accumulated profits reached more than 862 billion VND, recording an increase of 11% in comparison with the last year, covering 116.9% of the plan. Profit-after-tax of parent company for the first five months reached 488 billion VND, finishing 113% of the plan.

FPT’s notable activities in May and early June 2011:
In May and early June 2011, FPT Information System (FPT IS) won major bids worth approximately 160 billion VND. They include a 27.7 billion-dong-contract to implement network equipment and security for data center and trading offices of Vietnam International Bank (VIB). In another contract worth 77.8 billion VND with the General Department of Taxation, the company will provide and install server systems, security equipement and safety devices for the tax’s headquarter and 63 offices. In addition, FPT IS will provide and install network and security system for Vietnam General Department of Customs with total value of more than 32.5 billion VND and provide Microsoft software for Vina Group (VNG) worth approximately 20 billion VND. The company also contracted with Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) to develop and integrate digital signature into the bank’s Internet Banking basing on joint implementation of FPT-CA services.
On June 9, FPT received three Sao Khue awards recognizing two outstanding software solutions developed by FPT Information System: FPT.TQDT – Electronic customs clearance system and FPT.iHRP – Human resource and payroll management system and one award for academic and non-academic IT training services of FPT University.
On June 8, FPT Group officially launched the 2011 Chim En Award. VnExpress is information sponsor and Miss Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Han is the Award's Messenger.

On May 19, FPT Group was named in the preferred developers list of Facebook. The name list is provided on http://developers.facebook.com/preferreddevelopers/. By this program, Facebook would recognize a short list of software companies to be their preferred developers and certify them to have sufficient capability and experience to develop applications on Facebook’s platform.
