FPT earned VND 1,349 billion in profit in the first seven months

Despite initial decrease in interest rate, there still has been few positive progresses in the business environment. The consumption price index (CPI) keeps going under zero for two consecutive months after increasing resiliently during 38 months, reflecting a continual decrease in domestic demand. Great effort is still being spent by FPT Group, whose profit-before-tax and revenue were 1,349 billion dongs and 13,238 billion, respectively. Profit-after-tax of parent company reached 832 billion dongs, earning 3,075 dongs per share on average.
The group’s core businesses remain stable, especially the telecommunication one.

FPT Software becomes one of Top 100 Global Service Providers 2012
FPT Software officially becomes one of the Top 100 Global Service Providers 2012, which was jointly evaluated and declared by Global Services (India) and NeoGroup (the U.S.) on August 3, 2012.
Top 100 Global Service Providers is the collection of outstanding companies specializing in Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) from all over the world.
Nominated companies are selected based on four criteria including: business performance and leadership capability; customer quality and maturity; service diversity and worldwide service coverage. The Top 100 list this year also contains big names in the IT industry such as Infosys, Unisys, Capgemini, ChinaSoft, CSC, HCL, Neusoft...
Successful launching of F-1 satellite
At 9:06 on July 21, the F-1 satellite created by FPT Space Lab of Technology Research Institute of FPT University was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center, Japan. This marks a significant progress of the space science in Vietnam .
There are also four small satellites of Japan and the United States including RAIKO, FITSAT-1, WE WISH and TechEdSat being launched this time. At 9:21, the spaceship HTV-3 carrying the said five satellites was successfully launched into the space.
At 21:40 (Hanoi time) on July 27, the HTV-3 spaceship was assembled with the International Space Station (ISS).
FPT won the best annual report 2012
The 5th Anniversary of Voting and Award Presentation of the Best Annual Report was held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 14 to honor fifty enterprises who had scored the best for their annual reports. FPT’s report ranked the seventh among the ten most outstanding one .
FPT also received certificate of merit by the State Securities Committee for making the best annual reports in five consecutive years.

FPT IS provides Salesforce CRM for Honda Vietnam
Last July, FPT IS signed the contract to implement the Salesforce CRM system for Honda Vietnam, in which its member, FPT IS Software Development Co. Ltd., will provide CRM license. The company also provides Honda Vietnam with consultation service, customization and system training.
FPT Shop opens a new showroom in Ho Tung Mau street.
On July 25, FPT Retail opened its 27th showroom at 46 Ho Tung Mau, Cau Giay, Hanoi after continuously expanding to other provinces such as Dak Lak, Binh Duong, Hue and Can Tho.
The company expects that by opening more retail shops it can provide authentic technology products at good prices to domestic consumers.
FPT Software signed contract with Nutifood
No. 3 FPT Strategy Unit (FSU3), a member of FPT Software, officially signed the contract to provide software and implement the distribution system management procedure for Nutifood.
The contract is executed in two phases, the first of which lasts from June to December 2012. In this phase, FSU3 will provide consultation and pilot implementation for the client’s two distributors in Ho Chi Minh City.
The second phase will last for nine months as soon as the first phase is completed. In this phase FSU3 will support Nutifood to deliver the system to 140 distributors, 120 supervisors and 500 salesmen using eMobiz across the country.
Providing FPT.eHospital solution for HoaLam – Shangri-la1
On July 10, 2012, FPT Information SyTem (FPT IS) and HoaLam – Shangri-la1 signed the contract to provide FPT.eHospital solution for International City Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
FPT.eHospital has shown outstanding features over competitors from India, China, Singapore and Vietnam.
This is the first time FPT IS has implemented the FPT.eHospital solution for an international hospital. By the evaluation of Parkway Health, the hospital’s managing company, it is believed that this is an objective and correct choice.

OneTV introduces new generation remote control
On July 9, OneTV Center of FPT Telecom introduced the new generation remote control for the Comtrend modem.
This new remote allows TV viewer to go straight to two main services including Video-on-demand and Television provided by One TV by a simple click on VoD or TV button. There are also various channels such as: kid shows, comedy-folk song, music, youtube, digital music, etc.
Having modern design with reasonable button size and palm-comforted-shape, the remote brings user convenient experience despite long time holding and button presses.
In addition, this remote also features CH+ and CH- for channel switching, Vol+ and Vol- for volume regulation and four-direction arrow buttons for more convenience than the previous version.
Combining Dragonica and Dragon Sword
On July 17, the famous game Dragon Sword was officially merged with the Dragonica launched by FPT Online under a new server called Riu Em. Accordingly, there are two separate servers including Riu Em and Riu Anh operating in a single mechanism for Dragonica.
After the merging, all the gifts and characters remain unchanged. Dragonica’s characters are managed in the Riu Anh while those of the Dragon Sword in the Riu Em. On this occasion, FPT Online also offers Platinum, Gold and Silver packages with attractive promotion for gamers of the newly merged Dragon Sword.
Education
FPT University organized the 4th graduation ceremony
On July 21, 2012, FPT University organized the first graduation ceremony for its 4th course software engineering students in Hanoi Opera House, No. 1 Trang Tien, Hanoi.
There had been 113 students attending the 4th course of software engineering, which lasted for four years with English and Japanese training and more than 100 examinations taken.
The second graduation ceremony in 2012 is organized this October in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is estimated that 100% of FPT University students are able to find a job at an average initial salary of 7.2 million dongs.
