FPT establishes Technology Department
The eighth functional department of FPT has been established to execute the company technology-related policies.

CTO Nguyen Lam Phuong will be the Head of FPT Technology Department.
On December 24, FPT CEO Truong Gia Binh signed the decision to establish FPT Technology Department and appointed CTO Nguyen Lam Phuong Head of the Department.
The Department is responsible for executing technology policies and strategies set by the Technology Council; regulating corporate technology activities; building the budget and managing technological resources.
Previously in May 2012, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh appointed Mr. Nguyen Lam Phuong CTO of the company for three year period.
FPT Technology Council was established one month later with nine members. It is responsible for building technology strategies and policies and get approval from the company’s Board of Directors; reviewing corporate technological projects; building remuneration system for technological staff and allocating technology resources for the company’s projects.
2012 was considered Technology year for FPT. According to Chairman Truong Gia Binh technology is the center of OneFPT strategy, which would leverage FPT to the same level with world’s leading vendors. Technology is also the key to help Vietnam enter the knowledge economy and information society and keep pace with other nations in the world.
