FPT gain 30% growth in 2014’s first quarter
According to business result in first 3 months of 2014 recently published, FPT earned a total revenue of VND 7.361 billion, increasing by 30% compared to the same period last year, equivalent to 112% of the plan.

Pre-tax profit reached VND 581 billion, increasing by 1% compared to the same period in 2013 and completing 108% of the 3-month plan.
Profit-after-tax was VND 480 billion. Profit-after-tax of holding company was VND 361 billion, increasing 1% compared to the same period of the previous year. Earning per share (EPS) was VND 1,312.
Technology, Telecommunication and Distribution saw good growths. Telecommunication businesses grew by 22% in revenue, in which revenue of broadband service increased by 23% compared with the same period.
Revenue from technology grew slightly by 2%, as the first quarter was the low season of information technology projects in the country. Many contracts were not recognized at the point of revenue while costs were still recorded periodically.
The total value of won contracts and signed contracts in the first 3 months in the fields of software solutions, integration system and IT services was approximately VND 840 billion, up 52 % compared with the same period. The main part of the result was contributed by software solutions and IT services in accordance with the strategic direction of the Corp.
Distribution grew by 33 % in revenue in comparison with the same period. Retail got impressive growth with 89 % growth in revenue over the same period. There are 104 stores by the end of the 1st quarter of this year.
