This result was declared in the Vietnam Trademarks Gala on 15th August at Viet Xo Cultural Palace (Hanoi), attracting the attendance of 1200 guests, who represent the Government, ministries, state departments, associations, enterprises and consumers nationwide.
Vietnamese trademarks account for two out of three hundred and thirty three (2/333) famous brands in thirty three (33) industries most loved by consumers in 2008. This outcome shows that domestic trademarks have gained consumer confidence and confirmed their names in the market.
Accordingly, Viet Tien ranks first for Garment, Textile and Fashion Industry; Kinh Do for Foods; Traphaco for Pharmacy, FPT for IT, Song Da 10 for Construction-Consultation-Design, Mai Linh Taxi for Transportation; Lai Thieu for Feeding; and Thien Long for Stationery, etc.
At the Gala, the organizers also kicked off the 2010 Program commencing on August 2009 starting by surveying famous brand names in Vietnam.
The 2010 Program was expected to take into account 40 industries surveyed instead of 33 as in 2008. This is also a chance for Vietnamese brand names to compete and challenge other regional trademarks to win the “Southeast Asia Best Enterprise” title on the occasion of the coming ASEAN Summit Meeting hosted by Vietnam.
Vietnam Trademark is the only program using the level and quality of consumer awareness. By direct questionnaires sent to individuals, the organizers would determine the indicator measuring the famousness of a product to give a trademark ranking in Vietnam.
2010 is the third year that the program will be held to recognize the effort of Vietnamese enterprises and foreign companies operating in the country.
