FPT has launched the award “Swallow 2009”

Ngo Phuong Lan – Miss Vietnam Global 2007, President of the Starfish Charity, will be the image representative of this humane award.

FPT wishes that the award “Swallow 2009” will raise the awareness for the community of each member in the society.

We believe that each contribution, though how small it is, will help bring about positive changes and create better living conditions for everybody.

The organization of commenting and choosing the winner for this online award will help build an electronic library to serve the purpose of developing voluntary charitable activities for social work groups and associations in Viet Nam.

“Swallow 2009” is the acknowledgement and gratitude of the community towards positive contributions of individuals and groups for the society.

All individuals and voluntary charitable groups can nominate themselves or be norminated by the community.

Individuals and groups taking part in the award will experience 3 rounds: Short-list, Choice by the community and Approval of the Assessment Council.

“Swallow 2009” organization board hopes that the community will positively nominate individuals and voluntary groups for this award.

The short-list round will last from April to May 2009, and candidates will be allowed to continuously update their relating documents on the website www.vicongdong.vn until the first round ends.

In the relating documents, groups should show their strong points through organizational structure, good personnel, effectively deployed projects and activities, prospective action plans for the future. Individuals should focus on the standards of community spirit; effective operation and long-term views and orientation.

The Assessment Council in the final round consists of specialists with high professional levels, experience and prestige in community activities and in the society.

As scheduled, the final award “Swallow 2009” will be granted to 5 best groups and 5 best individuals.

Each award-winning group will receive 5 million VND and 20-million-VND sponsor for voluntary charitable action plans in 2009.

Each award-winning individual will receive 2 million VND and 10-million-VND sponsor for voluntary charitable action plans in 2009.

In addition, there are also 1-million-VND awards for excellent groups and individuals who have been nominated for the award “Swallow 2009” but do not win the award.

On April 17 and 18, the award “Swallow 2009” will be launched successively in the South (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Middle (Da Nang City).
