FPT Information System sponsors Hanoi Telecommunications Association Meeting
March 5, 2009, the first meeting of the Hanoi Telecommunications Association was held at the Hanoi Department of Information and Telecommunications, No. 185 Giang Vo Str.. FPT Information System (FPT-IS) co-sponsored the event.

The Hanoi Telecommunications Association was established on December 17, 2008 pursuant to Decision No. 2624/QĐ-UBND of the Hanoi People’s Committee.
This is a social occupational organization, aimed at cooperation, and assisting individuals, organizations, and the business community operating in telecommunications to better meet the demands of expansion of the sector.
The Association’s focus until 2010 will be in the following areas:
- Membership expansion;
- Stepped up operations;
- International cooperation; telecommunication activities will be oriented towards the Thang Long – Hanoi Millennium Celebration;
- Communication about traffic safety;
- Participation in Government communications campaigns; community development projects etc.
