FPT IS – First Vietnamese company to reach highest level of IBM’s technology par

The multinational technology company IBM has announced that FPT Information System (FPT IS, a member of FPT Corporation) is officially considered an IBM Platinum Business Partner (the highest level).

FPT IS is the first partner in Vietnam and the 22nd in the Asia-Pacific region to hit this mark of IBM. Not only does this signal both the capacity and the prestige of FPT IS, but it also creates an opportunity for the company to provide customers with more high-tech solutions from IBM.

The PartnerWorld program of IBM is internationally well-known for 4 levels of partners of Registered, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Being qualified as an IBM Platinum Business Partner, FPT IS will receive more support as well as business benefits from IBM. The company will be able to participate in round-table conferences with IBM’s commercial leaders in order to discuss about upcoming business plans and development directions. It will have their solutions introduced to the world by IBM itself, and be aided in upgrading solution-finding ability by IBM’s professional technological personnel etc.

In order to get the achievement, FPT IS had to fulfil the following criteria: Business Performance - Professional Certification System - Customer Satisfaction. FPT IS met its commitment to IBM in two sectors: servers and storage products. Within less than half a year, FPT IS received a total of 12 certifications on servers and storage products. IBM surveyed many customers in Vietnam and 100% of them satisfied with the service by FPT IS.

The representative of IBM ASEAN gave the IBM Platinum Business Partner certification to FPT IS CEO Pham Minh Tuan.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hao, Director of Global Partnership Department of IBM Vietnam, FPT has been the first partner of IBM since the time it came back to the Vietnamese market in 1996. During the last 20 years, FPT has always been a helping hand of IBM in this country, introducing IT solutions of IBM to support Vietnamese companies in their business development as well as innovation.

FPT IS and IBM officially established their cooperative relationship in 2005. FPT IS has won many IBM awards namly Best Information Systems Business Partner in 2010and Best Software Business Partner in March 2011.

In the announcement event, FPT IS and IBM both discussed about a few of the many significant solutions which are ready to provide to customers in Vietnam in the near future such as Blockchain (blockchain technologies) or Flash Storage (storage technologies).
