FPT IS become key partner to deploy LaoViet Bank’s IT strategy
Under the MOU on bilateral strategic cooperation signed in the afternoon of March 24, FPT IS and LaoViet Bank will jointly deploy systems and apps to maintain and develop IT for LaoViet Bank as well as expand their cooperation with financial institutions in Laos.

In addition the leaders of the two sides, the ceremony was attended by Economic Counselor of Vietnam's Embassy in Laos Tran Manh Cuong; Minister of Science and Technology of Las Boviengkham Vongdara; BIDV Chairman Tran Bac Ha.
With this agreement, FPT IS will be the key partner to LaoViet Bank’s IT project in Vietnam during 2015-2020. Accordingly, LaoViet Bank will be given priority to using of the latest technology products of FIS, also provide finance-banking services and products in Laos.
According to FPT IS CEO Pham Minh Tuan, this cooperation not only confirmed the political relationship between the two countries but also helped the company outreach in its global strategy.
FPT IS will share its experience in implementing IT systems/products with LaoVietBank to help manage its operation most effectively as well as support this firm in training and developing IT human resources.
Also, FPT IS along with LaoViet will conduct a survey of IT situation in Laos (including IT infrastructure of the Central Bank of Laos, Ministry of Finance, Commercial Bank of Laos) to analyze, assess and compare with IT infrastructure in Vietnam and in some other ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Myanmar.
Before this agreement, FPT IS transferred core banking for LaoViet Bank in 2011. This project enhanced FPT IS’s position in Laos.
