FPT IS build bus management software in HCMC

On November 5, the launching ceremony of Package No. 5 under the project to "establish bus management and information system in HCM” built by FPT IS took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transportation and Communication, 63 Ly Tu Trong Street, district 1.

After being completed, the software will help manage bus operation in a focal way, auto-detect and support handling violations of this kind of vehicle in a timely manner.

Accordingly, FPT Technology Solution Co.,Ltd (FTS for short) under FPT IS will build and deploy modules including bus stop management software, bus operating management software, online management & monitoring software and shared database.

After being completed, the software will help manage bus operation in a focal way, auto-detect and support handling violations of this kind of vehicle in a timely manner such as exceeding allowable speed, not turning on air conditioner, going wrong route etc. Then, it can make contribution to improving the management and operating efficiency of public buses. This is also a basis for future expansion solutions such as providing online information to passengers and measuring production and number of electronic bus tickets.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transportation and Communication Nguyen Thanh Chung stated that the package played a very important role in promoting the IT solution application to strengthen bus management and operating capacity of the city.

It is expected that the package will last 8 months and be finished in May 2015.

Earlier, FPT IS kicked off the project to build and deploy e-ticket system for Vietnam Railway.
